CHEAT INVOLVED IN ONLINE FRAUD ON PRETEXT OF SELLING HIS SCOOTY THROUGH INTERNET VIA “OLX.IN” ARRESTE

  • CHEATED RS. 37,000/- FROM THE COMPLAINANT DEEPAK SAHNI BY LURING HIM TO SELL HIS SCOOTY.SCOOTY ‘MAHINDRA GUSTO’ WITHOUT NUMBER PLATE AND MOBILE PHONE USED FOR MAKING FRAUDULENT CALLS RECOVERED

  • Crime Branch has arrested a cheat Kulwant Singh @ Goldi (23 yrs) s/o Sukh Deo Singh r/o RZ-23A, Gali No.21, Vashisht Park, Pankha Road, New Delhi, who is indulged in internet fraud and cheated a person on the pretext of selling his Scooty ‘Mahindra Gusto’ through internet via “OLX.IN” for Rs.37,000/-.

The accused had cheated an employee of “Tech Mahindra” and Scooty without number plate and mobile phone used in making fraudulent calls were recovered from his possession.  
COMPLAINT, TEAM & INVESTIGATION: -
On 20.07.2016, an information was received by ASI Balwan Singh at Central Range that a cheat who is involved in online fraud and is wanted in case FIR No.524/16 u/s 420 IPC registered at PS Janak Puri, Delhi, would come near Janak Cinema, Pankha Road, Janak Puri to meet his friend and if raided he can be arrested. On this, a team led by ACP N K Meena comprising of Insp. Pankaj Arora, ASI Balwan Singh, HCs Sudhir, Jagdish, Cts. Surya Prakash and Sudhir was constituted under the supervision of DCP Bhisham Singh and over all supervision of Addl.CP K.K. Vyas to nab him.

Accordingly, a trap was laid at the place of information, and on the pointing out of the informer, a person riding on a white Scooty was apprehended, whose name was found to be Kulwant Singh @ Goldy. The accused was arrested u/s 41.1(D) of CrPC and the Scooty and mobile phone used in making fraudulent calls were recovered from him.

Two sophisticated pistols alongwith 9 cartridges recovered. A reward of Rs 50,000/- was declared by Delhi Police for his arrest. A team of Special Cell, Northern Range, led by Insp. Sanjay Nagpal, Inspr. Prabhat Kumar & Insp.
