Ø    ONE NOTORIOUS HUMAN TRAFFICKER JASWINDER SINGH @ BARHMI ARRESTED.
Ø    HE WAS ABSCONDING SINCE 2009.
Ø    HE WAS DECLARED PROCLAIMED OFFENDER IN THREE CASES OF PS IGI AIRPORT.

Crime Branch has arrested one notorious human trafficker Jaswinder Singh @ Barhmi (54 yrs) s/o Sukhdev Singh r/o Vill. Basiala, PS Garhshanker, Distt. Hoshiarpur, Punjab presently at RZ-743, Gali No. 04, Main Sagarpur, New Delhi.  Accused is wanted in three cases of human trafficking of PS IGI Airport, Delhi and was absconding since 2009.


INFORMATION AND OPERATION: -

On 19.07.16, an information was received that Jaswinder Singh @ Barhmi, a human trafficker, wanted in three criminal cases of PS IGI Airport and also declared Proclaimed Offender in these cases would be coming near Barat Ghar, Main Sagarpur Road, Delhi to visit someone. On this information, a team led by ACP Sanjay Sehrawat consisting of Inspr. P C Yadav, SI Mandeep, HCs Dinesh Kumar, Dinesh, Narender Singh, Vikal Singh, Ajay Kumar, Cts. Naresh, Ravi, Vijender, Rahul, Deepak, Brijesh, Ravinder and Rajesh was constituted under the supervision of DCP Bhisam Singh.  On the basis of the information, a trap was laid near Barat Ghar, Main Sagarpur Road, Delhi and accused was apprehended.

 During interrogation, accused Jaswinder Singh disclosed that he studied upto 8th standard. Thereafter, he worked as a carpenter. After some time, he went to Libya in search of work where he worked as a welder. During this period he came in contact with Balbir Singh, who was also working there. Thereafter, he came back to India and tried his hand at several business. In 1987, he again went to Saudi Arabia and came back in 1991. Here, he again came in contact with Balbir Singh who was indulging in sending people abroad on forged passport and visas. He also joined him and began to send people abroad on forged passport and visas.
He was first arrested in 1985 vide FIR No. 194/95 u/s 419/420/511 IPC and 12 Passport Act at PS Chanakyapuri, New Delhi but he did not mend his ways and kept on indulging in similar malpractices. In 2009, two criminal cases bearing FIR No. 31/09 u/s 420/468/471/120B IPC and 12 Passport Act and FIR No. 260/09 u/s 420/468/471/120B IPC and 12 Passport Act were registered against him at PS IGI Airport, Delhi. However, he could not be arrested. Another case bearing FIR No. 248/15 u/s 420/468/471/120B IPC and 12 Passport Act was also registered against him at PS IGI Airport, Delhi and accused is still wanted in the said case. As he was absconding since 2009, he has been declared proclaimed offender by the concerned courts.
