Five members of notorious gang of dacoits arreste

• Kingpin Islamuddin, a most wanted and rewardee criminal in 16 cases arrested.Islamuddin has reward of Rs 1.70 lacs from various states.Three fire arms with 15 live cartridges recovered.Two robbed luxury cars recovered.Robbed Copper wire worth Rs 90 Lakhs located in the godown of scrap-dealer.19 mobile handsets with many SIM cards seized.Numerous Fake ID cards like Aadhar Card, Driving License and Voter ID Card, RCs and Insurance certificates of vehicles recovered.Islamuddin and his associates were wanted in 34 cases of dacoity, robbery, kidnapping, murder etc in various states.

A team of Special Cell/Northern Range led by Insp. Attar Singh and supervised by Sh. Nishant Gupta, ACP has arrested five highly desperate members of a notorious gang of  dacoits. The arrested persons are (1) Islamddin (age-41 years) s/o Sadiq Ahmed r/o Village Punhana, Distt. Mewat, Haryana, (2) Saleem (age-25 years) s/o Late. Shaid r/o Village Malai, Teh. Hathin, Distt. Palwal, Haryana (3) Surender (age-32 years) s/o Surat Singh r/o Village Bamdola, Distt. Jhajjar, Haryana and (4) Mohd. Sabir (age-24 years) s/o Mojuddin r/o Village Malai, Teh. Hatim, Distt. Palwal, Haryana. (5) Irshad (age-25 years) s/o Mohd. Gulzar r/o H.No. 69/6, Kureji Khas, Delhi. Three illegal firearms with 15 live cartridges and 03 cars including two robbed luxury cars have been recovered from arrested persons. 19 mobile handsets with many SIM cards have also been recovered from them. A case FIR No. 45/2016 dated 25-07-2016 u/s 186/353/307/412/419/420/468/471/474/34 IPC & 25/27/54/59 Arms Act PS Special Cell has been registered in this regard. From the arrest of members of this gang, more than 34 cases of armed robbery and dacoity reported in various states i.e Delhi, Haryana, UP, MP, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu etc have been worked out. Arrest of Islamuddin with his gang members is a prized catch as he was most wanted dacoit in above states. He is having reward of Rs. 1.70 lacs from various states. Apart from involved in many new cases of sensational armed dacoity and kidnapping, Islamuddin was also declared Proclaimed Offender in many other criminal cases of various states.

Inspr. Attar Singh of Special Cell/NR was developing information for many months about activities of members of this gang of dacoits, who were reportedly active in many states. Secret surveillance was kept upon movements of members of this gang. Requisite intelligence in this regard was collected. Secret sources were deployed in Mewat (Haryana), Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh etc to gather more information in this regard.

During surveillance, it was revealed that there are more than 15 members in this gang, who always remain armed with deadly weapons. They had committed many sensational armed robberies/dacoits at gunpoint in Delhi and adjoining states.  During this period, a few members of this gang were identified and surveillance was intensified. It was known that most members belong to Mewat region of Haryana and were very ruthless and desperate and they don’t hesitate to fire on slightest provocation or resistance by the victims. They even don’t hesitate to open fire on police to escape from the clutches of law. These dacoits were found to be highly ruthless and inhuman while committing these crimes. In the past they have attacked police parties many times and even damaged police vehicles by pelting stones and indiscriminate firing whenever cornered by police.

Operation

Painstaking efforts of more than 06 months succeeded when a specific information regarding movement of members of this gang in Delhi was received by Inspr. Attar Singh. According to the information, three members of this gang including the kingpin, Islamuddin, were likely to meet one of their contacts on 25.7.2016. A raiding party led by Insp. Attar Singh and consisting of SI Jeetendra Tiwari, SI Rakesh, SI Parveen, SI Sandeep, ASI Sanjay, HC Dilwar and others was constituted. A trap was laid near Nangloi Metro Station where three members of this gang arrived in a Fortuner car on 25/07/2016 in the evening time. When the police party tried to surround and overpower them, Islamuddin took out pistol and fired upon Inspr. Attar Singh. The bullet hit the bullet proof jacket worn by him. Another accused Surender also took out his pistol and tried to fire upon police team. However, HC Sanjeev, showed exemplary courage and snatched the firearm of Islamuddin, without caring for his life. In the meantime, Inspr Attar Singh also overpowered Surender and snatched his weapon from him. Three firearms with live cartridges i.e. one English pistol of 7.65 and 02 country made pistols of .315 bore with 06 live cartridges were recovered from their possession. One robbed Fortuner car was also recovered from them at spot, which was later found to be robbed from Mahipalpur in Delhi at gunpoint. Besides this, 19 mobile handsets with many SIM cards used for communication at the time of commission of various dacoities were also recovered.

Their fourth associate namely Mohd. Sabir was arrested near Mundka Metro station and a robbed Honda City car was recovered from his possession. This Sabir had recently participated in robbing of truck of copper wires near Ratlam and he brought the robbed truck from Ratlam to Delhi.

The arrested persons have disclosed that they used to supply copper wires to various scrap-dealers namely Salman and two brothers namely Irshad and Irfan. Mohd. Irshad was arrested today on 26/07/2016 near Akshardham Mandir, Delhi and one Verna car and 07 live cartridges of .765 were recovered from his possession.  During investigation many fake driving licenses, Aadhar card, Voter Id cards in name of Islamuddin, Surender, Saleem, fake RCs and insurance papers of robbed vehicles have been recovered at the instance of arrested persons. Nine fake driving licenses in name of other persons having photo of Islamuddin, have been recovered from Islamuddin. Eight fake Adhar cards in name of other persons having photo of Surender have been recovered from Surender. Two fake Adhar cards in name of other persons having photo of Saleem have been recovered from Saleem. After robbing the cars, they used to prepare fake documents of these cars, to avoid suspicion of police at checking points on the way. The robbed cars were always used in robbing trucks and the fake IDs were used for booking hotels etc.

Recently, on 30-06-2016, they also robbed a Swift Car from an Inspector of Haryana Police,  posted as SHO PS DLF sector 29 Gurgaon, while he was in his uniform. They kidnapped him and bundled him in the same car, beat him mercilessly and robbed him of his cash, ATM card and car. Later, they took him to Mathura and dumped him. They also withdrew cash with the help of ATM card. This shows that these dacoits were fearless and held themselves above the law.

Modus-operandi

During detailed interrogation, it has been revealed that Islamuddin is the head of this gang and is active for last 16 years. He is involved in more than 35 cases of murder, attempt to murder, kidnapping, extortion, robbery, dacoity, rape etc. There are more than 15 members of this gang, mostly belonging to Mewat area.

The gang used to target trucks transporting copper wires from godowns as it is very costly item and they used to receive enough money with its sale to scrap dealers. They had identified such godowns all over India including states of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Gujarat. They used to keep watch over the godowns and whenever the truck leaves the Godown, they waylay such trucks and bundle the truck drivers, cleaners, helpers etc by kidnapping them. After overpowering the occupants of the truck, they used to remove the GPS installed in trucks as its mandatory for all trucks transporting costly copper wires to install GPS. They used to take these robbed trucks to their godowns in Delhi and Haryana, where copper wires were unloaded. The truck and driver/cleaners are then abandoned 100-150 km away from Delhi. The gang is headed by Islamuddin and the other members of gang are Harun, Aslam, Salim, Surender, Sabir, Suraj @ Pandit, Monu, Irfan, Salman, Hanif, Azad, Iqbal, Khalid, Abid, Liyaqat etc who are from Mewat area. The gang used to dispose copper wires to scrap-dealers of Delhi namely Salman, Irshad and Irfan. Islamuddin used to travel by Air before and after commission of dacoity. He used to stay in luxury hotels with his women friends.

Arrested persons were subjected to more sustained interrogation upon which they disclosed to have committed various sensational armed dacoities/ car-jacking which is as under:-

1. On 02/06/2016, members of this gang kidnapped a person from Mahipalpur, Delhi and robbed him of his Fortuner car, cash and other belongings. They abandoned the car driver in sector 56, Gurgaon, Haryana.
2. On 17/07/2016, members of this gang robbed a truck having copper wire valuing Rs more than 01 crore from the area of PS Namli, Distt. Ratlaam, MP. They brought robbed truck in godown of Irfan in Najafgarh area and sold copper wire to him.
3. On 30/06/2016, six members of this gang including Salem, Surender, Khalid, Abid, Dana came in Scorpio car, provided by Islamuddin to rob another car. They noticed an Inspector of Haryana Police in his uniform in his swift car. They kidnapped and bundled him in his Swift car, beat him mercilessly and robbed him of his cash, ATM card and car. They took him to Mathura and dumped him. They also withdrew cash with the help of ATM card. Islamuddin prepared fake documents of the car of SHO and disposed it. Victim is SHO PS DLF sector 29 Gurgaon.
4. Members of this gang robbed a person of his Honda City car, cash and other belongings near Signature Tower, Gurgaon on 12/06/2016. After robbing him they abandoned the victim near Mathura.
5. Members of this gang robbed a person of his Honda City car, laptop, cash, ATM cards in the area of PS Tappal, Distt Aligarh, UP on 03/07/2016. After robbing him they pushed him in jungles in Buland Sahar Distt.
6. Islamuddin alongwith his associates kidnapped a married woman from the area of PS Kama, Bharatpur, Rajasthan and gang raped her for many days by confining her in Punhana. Islamuddin is having reward of Rs. 25,000/- in this case.
7. In the month of May, 2015, the members of this gang robbed a truck having copper wire worth more than Rs 80 lacs from the area of PS Kherwara, Distt. Udaipur, Rajasthan.
8. In the month of Sep, 2015, members of this gang robbed a truck having copper wire worth more than Rs 70 lacs from the area of PS Sumer Pur, Distt. Pali, Rajasthan. Islamuddin is having a reward of Rs. 10,000/- in this case.
9. In the month of Oct, 2015, members of this gang robbed a truck having copper wire worth more than Rs 80 lacs from the area of PS Sumer Pur, Distt. Pali, Rajasthan. Islamuddin is having a reward of Rs. 10,000/- in this case.
10. In the month of Dec, 2015, members of this gang robbed a truck having copper wire worth more than Rs 75 lacs from the area of PS Sumer Pur, Distt. Pali, Rajasthan. Islamuddin is having a reward of Rs. 10,000/- in this case.
11. In the month of Apr, 2015, members of this gang robbed a truck having copper wire worth more than Rs 80 lacs from the area of PS Panihala, Distt. Kota, Rajasthan.
12. In the month of Dec, 2015, members of this gang forcibly entered in a house in Ujjain and robbed the family members of their cash and jewelry worth Rs. 20 lacs in the area of PS Chiman Ganj, Distt. Ujjain, MP. Islamuddin is having a reward of Rs. 15,000/- in this case.
13. In the month of Jan, 2016, members of this gang robbed a truck having tyres worth more than Rs 40 lacs from the area Banglore.
14. In the month of Jan’2016, members of this gang robbed a truck having copper wires worth more than Rs 80 lacs from the area of Dindigul, Tamilnadu.
15. In the month of Jun/Jul’2015, members of this gang robbed a truck having copper wires worth more than Rs 90 lacs near Toll Tax before Chittorgarh going from Udaipur.
16. In the month of Apr’2016, members of this gang robbed a truck having copper wires worth more than Rs 80 lacs from the area of Kota, Rajasthan.
17. In the month of May’2015, members of this gang robbed a truck having copper wires worth more than Rs 80 lacs from the area of PS Datiya, MP.
