Interstate Co-ordination Meeting

An interstate co-ordination meeting aimed to strengthening cooperation and coordination in order to address the various issues related to policing in NCR was held under the chairmanship of CP/Delhi today at PHQ keeping in mind especially the forthcoming “Independence Day Functions” and “Kanwar Mela”. The main objective of the meeting was to share terror related intelligence and inputs about various extremist outfits & their designs in view of forthcoming Independence Day celebrations.  Senior officers of Delhi Police and their counterparts from Haryana, Punjab, Utter Pradesh, Uttrakhand, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand,

J&K and Chandigarh attended the meeting.

               


CP/Delhi stressed on increasing police presence, intensive and co-ordinated checking at vulnerable points, tenant verification, guest house checking, paying guest accommodation and sensitization of cyber café owners, second-hand car dealers, cycle sellers, and STD/ISD PCO booth owners, in order to strengthen the counter terrorism measures.  

The arrangements for maintaining the law & order during “KANWAR MELA” in the context of crowd/traffic management were also discussed.  The officers attending the meeting also shared intelligence to check crime committed by interstate criminals, organised gangs of auto lifters operating in their respective areas.  Issues of human trafficking, missing children, proliferation of fake Indian currency notes (FICN) and smuggling of illicit firearms were discussed and preventive steps emphasizing upon integrated joint checking at unmanned borders in tandem with each other were also discussed. 

          Traffic restrictions during Independence Day-2016 at borders were discussed and officers of other states were requested to cooperate for ensuring the same.

All officers were briefed to share advance intelligence having interstate ramification on law and order.  

          The meeting ended with a resolution to have increased co-ordination in policing in the NCR region with emphasis on one to one interaction at all levels and units in order to provide a more secure environment to citizens of Delhi and neighbouring states.

Sagar @ Punter a sharp shooter of Naveen Khati Gang arrested

Two sophisticated pistols alongwith 9 cartridges recovered. A reward of Rs 50,000/- was declared by Delhi Police for his arrest. A team of Special Cell, Northern Range, led by Insp. Sanjay Nagpal, Inspr. Prabhat Kumar & Insp. Pankaj Kumar under the supervision of Shri Pankaj Sood, ACP has arrested sharp shooter of notorious and desperate gangster Naveen @ Khati namely  Sagar @ Punter, alongwith his associate Ravi @ Cheeru. Two pistols alongwith 9 cartridges were recovered from their possession.  A Bullet Motor-Cycle used by gangster has also been seized. A reward of Rs 50,000/- was declared by Delhi Police for his arrest. There is a long history of gang war in Najafgarh and adjoining areas. Naveen @ Khati gang is a desperate gang having rivalry with Manjeet Mahal/ Ravinder @ Bholu gang. They are splinter group of Anoop/Balraj gang which had rivalry with Krishan Pehlwan gang. HE ALLEGEDELY OPERATED INSIDE THE JAIL CARRYING REWARD OF Rs. 20,000/- District Anti Robbery Cell, NWD has nabbed a desperate extortionist namely Harsimran @ Badal @ Simran s/o Harvinder Singh r/o BK-1/103-A, East Shalimar Bagh, Delhi, who is gang leader of Harsimran @ Badal Gang and carrying reward of Rs. 20000/-. He is a dreaded criminal of PS Shalimar Bagh and is involved in total 15 cases including two murders at PS Burari & Mandir Marg.
