REWARD OF RS.50,000/- WAS DECLARED ON HIS ARREST

  • DREADED CRIMINAL SAJID @ CHUNI, WANTED IN A SENSATIONAL KIDNAPPING CASE OF A BHUJ (GUJARAT) RESIDENT, ARRESTED.
  • UNFORTUNATELY, KIDNAPPING OF INNOCENT PERSONS FOR RANSOM HAS BECOME COMMON IN MEWAT AREA.
  • REWARD OF RS.50,000/- WAS DECLARED ON HIS ARREST.
Crime Branch has arrested a dreaded criminal Sajid @ Chuni (23 yrs) s/o  Akhtar r/o Village Dosras, PS Govardhan, Distt Mathura, UP, who was wanted in case FIR No.20/2016 dated 17/02/2016 u/s 364-A/343/395/420/468/120-B IPC PS Crime Branch Delhi, in which he alongwith his associates had kidnapped a resident from Bhuj, after he was called in Delhi on the allurement of providing him a car at very low price.
INCIDENT: -
Sh. Valji Bhai s/o Govind Bhai r/o Bhajau, Distt. Bhuj, Gujarat reached Delhi after receiving calls on his mobile number 9624372397 from 8741955026 and 8979843226 from some unknown persons, who told him that they would arrange a car for him at a very low price. On finding it a lucrative offer, he reached Delhi Railway Station on 21/12/2015, where he met one person, who took him to Palwal on the pretext of showing him the car. On reaching Palwal, he noticed that 5/6 persons were already present there on two bikes and on sensing danger, he refused to go further. He was forcefully taken to a secluded place. After that, they started beating him and demanded a ransom of Rs. 5 lac from his son by making calls to him. The accused also took away Rs.20,000/- and mobile phone, which he was carrying. The next day one person came there and alerted them that Delhi Police is conducting raids in the area. After hearing this, they ran away and the complainant was able to reach his home after escaping and boarding a train. Thereafter, on his complaint, the aforesaid case was registered.  


INFORMATION, TEAM  AND  OPERATION: -
Sources were deployed to collect information regarding accused involved in aforesaid case. Subsequently 5 accused persons Taufiq, Sunny, Mosam, Javed and Saddam were earlier arrested by Crime Branch.
During investigation, involvement of 2 more criminals Sajid and Hussain came to notice and efforts were made to arrest these criminals. A reward of Rs.50,000/- was declared on arrest of each accused.
On 05.01.2017, a specific information was received by SI Aas Mohd.  and ASI Hashim Khan about the movement of the accused Sajid @ Chuni,  that he would come from Mathura and would alight from bus at Ashram Chowk bus stop to meet his associates.
A team of South Eastern Rangen of Crime Branch led by ACP Ishwar Singh, consisting of Inspr. Naresh Solanki, SI Aas Mohd., ASIs Hashim Khan, Gulbir, Kusam Pal, HCs Ravinder Khokhar, Ajay, Vinod and Const. Manoj Meena was constituted under the supervision of DCP Dr. Ram Gopal Naik and under overall guidance of Addl.CP K.K. Vyas to nab them. The team immediately swung into action and a trap was laid. When the accused came in a bus and was waiting for somebody at the bus stop, the police party overpowered him.
INTERROGATION AND PROFILE: -
Accused Sajid @ Chuni was born at his Village Dosras, PS Govardhan, Distt. Mathura, UP and due to poor economic condition, he could not compete his studies. His father is working as a farmer. He came in contact with criminals of the area, who habitually kidnapped innocent persons and then demanded ransom.

Cases of this type have become common in Mewat area. The modus operandi is that the criminals give advertisements in newspapers in far flung areas of Maharashtra and Gujarat for sale of vehicles especially cars and scrap materials etc. at throw away prices. Gullible people fall easy prey to such advertisements and get trapped in the net of criminals. The general public is alerted through media not to fall prey to such mischievous advertisements as it may be very dangerous for their safety and security.
