MP BASED GUN-RUNNING GANG BUSTED BY SPECIAL CELL!

TWO ARM TRAFFICKERS ARRESTED

18 SOPHISTICATED PISTOLS WITH 25 MAGAZINES AND ONE CAR USED IN SMUGGLING OF FIRE ARMS RECOVERED

With the arrest of the two Arm Traffickers namely Praveen Chaudhary (aged 25 years) S/o Late Sh. BrijBhan Singh R/o Village Bajauta, PS Tappal, District Aligarh (UP) and his maternal uncle namely Amar Singh (aged 35 years) S/o Sh. Narayan Singh R/o Mohalla Block Colony, Khair, District Aligarh (UP), the South-Western Range of Special Cell hasyet again succeeded in busting Madhya Pradesh based ‘Gang’, involved in manufacturing and smuggling of sophisticated fire arms (pistols) in various parts of UP, Delhi, Rajasthan, Haryana, Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh. The aforementioned accused persons have been arrested while under the possession of 18sophisticated pistols alongwith25 magazines. Besides, a Maruti Swift Dezire car, which is modified in order to make its better use in smuggling of the fire-arm consignments, has also been recovered from their possession.  

BRIEF FACTS OF THE CASE:

Recently, the South-Western Range of Special Cell, New Delhi received a tip-off that a gang of gun-runners are actively involved in manufacturing of illicit sophisticated fire arms, including pistols, magazines, bullets etc.and supplying them to different states of Northern India. These fire arms are being manufactured in DharDistrict of Madhya Pradesh. On further developing the secret information, it is revealed that one Praveen Chaudhary, who hails from Village Bajauta, District Aligarh (UP), is the main supplier of these fire arms and is actively participating in selling weapons to various criminals and local goons of Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Delhi and Rajasthan. In this way, this gang is bent upon alluring youngsters to engage them in gang-wars and brutal killings. Needless to say that,the activities of this gang not only have anti-nationaleffects butalso have damaging effects on the eternal values of the society.

TEAM &OPERATION:

Having received the above secret information, a special team headed by Inspr. Dinesh Arya&Inspr. Ishwar Singh, consisting of SI Hansa Ram, SI Rakesh Malik, ASIBhim Singh, ASIDevenderBhati, ASIDheer Singh, HC Jitender, HC Satender Pal, HC Anil Kumar, HC Satpal, HC Upender, Ct. Deepak, Ct. Praveen, Ct. Ranjit and Ct. Yogesh was formed under the expertise of Sh. AkhileshwarSwroopYadav, ACP/SWR. The entire team worked strenuously and continuously with full dedication to collect maximum secret inputs about these gang-members. The secret informer was also briefed and assigned the special task accordingly.

OPERATION & INVESTIGATION:

On 06.01.2017, yet another secret information was received that Praveen Chaudharyalongwith one of his associates is going in his Swift DezireCar No. RJ 05 CA 6487to receive fresh consignment of sophisticated pistols in bulk from one Dinesh Sardar, who hails from Dhar District of Madhya Pradesh and gets the fire arms manufactured at his native place. The information further revealed that Praveen Chaudhary would come to Delhi for supplying the fire-arms to their Delhi based client via Mathura Road Opposite Aali Mod. Hence, the said team alongwith the secret informer swung into action and reached their and laid a trap on Mathura Road opposite Aali Mod and started checking of vehicles by putting barricades on the roads in search of the hunt. At around 8.30 PM, the said car was noticed coming from Faridabad side, therefore, the team signaled the driver of the car to stop for checking, but instead, the driver accelerated the speed. However, the alert team chased the vehicle for a while and intercepted the said car near Toyota Car Showroom, Mathura Road and apprehended both the desperadoes. On checking of their vehicle, a total of 18 sophisticated pistols alongwith 25 magazines have been recovered from the specially designed cavity of the car inside the dicky below the back seat. Accordingly, a case under Arms Act was got registered and investigation taken up.  

INTERROGATION:

On sustained interrogation, the prime accusedPraveen Chaudhary above confessed his guilt and disclosed that he had been to jail for several years for committing the murder of one Hoshiyar Singh in Aligarh District Court on 29.05.2013 and also in another Murder case of a lady Neetu. After releasing from the jail, he could not get any job to earn his livelihood, hence he fell into the bad society of local goons. During this period, he came in contact with Dinesh @ Deena, who enjoyed lavish lifestyleand is a leading supplier of fire-arms manufactured in Madhya Pradesh. He,therefore, requested him for a similar kind of job. In turn, Dinesh @ Deena got him introduced with Dinesh Sardar of District Dhar (MP), whereby, he gradually started selling of the fire arms being manufactured by Dinesh Sardar. Thereafter, he started earning handsome amountfrom such sales and made quick bucks. Besides this, he is also involved in smuggling of banned liquor.

PROFILE OF THE ACCUSED:

Accused Praveen Chaudhary was born in 1991 in Village Bajauta, Distt. Aligarh, UP.He has one younger brotherArvind and one married sister, while both the brothers are unmarried. He quitted his studies after BA 1st year and resorted to criminal activities. He is a dreaded criminal and involved in killing of his rivals in and adjoining villages. He never ever hesitated to eliminate the ones who keeps any feeling of vengeance against him or his family members. In supplying the illicit fire-arms, his maternal uncle (co-associate in this case), has been assisting him for supplying the consignments from one end to the other.

MODUS OPERANDI:

Accused Praveen Chaudhary once entered in the trade of supplying fire-arms, he had got car’s dicky modified specially by creating a deep cavity under the back seat of the car so that the smuggled arms could be concealed beyond sight of anyone. All the above fire arms have been recovered from that particular cavity in the car under the back seat.
