Full recovery of Jewellery worth Rs. 50 Lakhs within 24 Hours, 4 Accused Arrested

INCIDENT:- On 19/01/17, complainant Nitesh Jain S/o Sh. Ravinder Kumar Jain R/o 54A, Gali No.10, Azad Nagar, Krishna Nagar having a shop of providing jewellery on commission at Chandni Chowk, Delhi reported that he came in contact with one Jitender and Vijay Gahlot through a common friend in dealing of his property. Further Vijay Gahlot contacted complainant to purchase jewellery for his known uncle and aunty on pretext of marriage at their home. He also arranged to meet his uncle and aunty with the complainant at Connaught Place, New Delhi. On 17/01/17, Vijay Gahlot convinced the complainant to go at River Height Plaza Market, Raj Nagar, Ghaziabad U.P. for payment of Jewellery and fled away with the Jewellery of worth Rs. 50 Lakh. Complainant by knowing that he had been duped by Vijay Gahlot and others, made complaint to police and accordingly a case FIR No. 20/17 U/S 420/34 IPC was registered at P.S. Krishna Nagar, Delhi.


INVESTIGATION & INTERROGATION:- To crackdown this case of cheating, a team comprising Insp. M.C. Pandey, SHO/Krishna Nagar, SI Vijay, SI Rahul, HC Gambir & Ct. Jagparvesh was constituted under supervision of ACP/Gandhi Nagar Sh. Khushal Pal Singh. The team developed information on basis of Car used in the crime. The team laid a trap and arrested accused Vijay Kumar Gahlot S/o Sh. Murari, Jitender @ Jeetu S/o Sh. Pursottam. On sustained interrogation accused Vijay Kumar Gahlot, Jitender @ Jeetu disclosed that they came to know that complainant provides jewellery on commission basis so they in association with Surender Singh @ Shailender and Kavita W/o Rampal Singh planned to cheat the complainant and committed this offence.

PREVIOUS INVOLVEMENT:-
During the course of investigation it has been revealed that accused Jitender @ Jeetu was previously arrested in the following cases:-


  1. FIR No 329/11 U/S 379/411/34 IPC, P.S. Okhla Industrial Estate, New Delhi.
  2. FIR No. 386/11 U/S 379/411/34 IPC, P.S. Okhla Industrial Estate, New Delhi.
  3. FIR No. 364/11 U/S 379/411 IPC, P.S. Okhla Industrial Estate, New Delhi.
  4. FIR No. 38/12 U/S 379/411 IPC, P.S. Naraina, New Delhi.
  5. FIR No. 75/11 U/S 379/411/34 IPC, P.S. Okhla Industrial Estate, New Delhi.
  6. FIR No. 112/11 U/S 379/411/34 IPC, P.S. Okhla Industrial Estate, New Delhi.


RECOVERY:-
During the course of investigation, 21 items of 1862 gm Jewellery have been recovered. The details are as below:-
  1. 8 Necklaces-1000 gm
  2. 4 Bangles-658 gm
  3. One Pendent set-50 gm
  4. 7 Pair of Ear Rings-154 gm


PROFILE OF ARRESTED PERSONS:-

  1. Vijay Kumar Gahlot S/o Sh. Murari Lal R/o H. No.291, Mohalla Rampura, Pilakhwa, Hapur U.P. aged 28 years. He studied upto 9th class. He is married. He worked as freelance reporter.
  2. Jitender @ Jeetu S/o Sh. Pursottam R/o A-368, T-huts, Chunna Bhatti, Kirti Nagar, New Delhi, aged 28 years. He studied upto 6th class. He is Unmarried. There are six cases of auto lifting registered against him in Okhla Industrial Estate and Naraina Police station.
  3. Surender Singh @ Shailender S/o Bali Singh R/o Village-Nidhawali, Post & Tehsil Dholana, Distt. Hapur, U.P. aged 42 years. He is married. He studied upto 9th class.
  4. Kavita W/o Rampal Singh R/o R/o Distt. Hapur, U.P. aged 36 years.

Sagar @ Punter a sharp shooter of Naveen Khati Gang arrested

Two sophisticated pistols alongwith 9 cartridges recovered. A reward of Rs 50,000/- was declared by Delhi Police for his arrest. A team of Special Cell, Northern Range, led by Insp. Sanjay Nagpal, Inspr. Prabhat Kumar & Insp.
