Hon’ble Lt. Governor, Sh. Anil Baijal visited Delhi Police HQrs today where he was first given a ceremonial guard of honour. He took a round of the Central Police Command Room – C4i and the Police Control Room. Thereafter, he held detailed discussions and interactions with senior officials.
The Lt. Governor directed the officers to engage with youth and the community in a big way to effectively communicate and connect with them. “The youth have to be partners in our policing approach”, he said.
He observed that modern day policing is a challenging and a complex task in a mega city like Delhi and therefore, police must technologically upgrade itself on the one hand and build strong relations with the community on the other. He assured his support in all such initiatives where public interface and facilitation is worked upon.

Sagar @ Punter a sharp shooter of Naveen Khati Gang arrested

Two sophisticated pistols alongwith 9 cartridges recovered. A reward of Rs 50,000/- was declared by Delhi Police for his arrest. A team of Special Cell, Northern Range, led by Insp. Sanjay Nagpal, Inspr. Prabhat Kumar & Insp. Pankaj Kumar under the supervision of Shri Pankaj Sood, ACP has arrested sharp shooter of notorious and desperate gangster Naveen @ Khati namely  Sagar @ Punter, alongwith his associate Ravi @ Cheeru. Two pistols alongwith 9 cartridges were recovered from their possession.  A Bullet Motor-Cycle used by gangster has also been seized. A reward of Rs 50,000/- was declared by Delhi Police for his arrest. There is a long history of gang war in Najafgarh and adjoining areas. Naveen @ Khati gang is a desperate gang having rivalry with Manjeet Mahal/ Ravinder @ Bholu gang. They are splinter group of Anoop/Balraj gang which had rivalry with Krishan Pehlwan gang. He is a dreaded criminal of PS Shalimar Bagh and is involved in total 15 cases including two murders at PS Burari & Mandir Marg.
