A GANG OF ROBBERS INVOLVED IN SERIES OF ROBERIES BUSTED BY NORTH-WEST DISTRICT POLICE

    • RECOVERED ROBBED MONEY RS.4.20 LAKH, MOTORCYCLE AND 5 MOBILE PHONE USED IN THE CRIME



A team of Special Staff of North-West District has busted a gang of robbers with the arrest of 4 person involved in series of robberies across Delhi. The accused have been identified as Naveen @ Natha, Dileep Sharma, Amit Kumar and Ravi Gupta involved in case FIR No.09/17 U/s 392/397/34 IPC PS Rani Bagh. Recovered robbed money Rs.4.20 lakh, Motorcycle and 5 mobile phone used in the commission of crime.
INCIDENT : Brief facts of the case are that on the evening of 14.01.2017 the complainant Mohd. Murtaza reported that while he was on the way to his factory on his scooty, 2 persons intercepted him near Haryana Maitri Bhawan. They were on Motorcycle and snatched his bag containing  Rs. 7 lakh of cash at gun point and sped away. The complainant was coming from Sadar Bazar and going towards Mangolpuri. Accordingly, a case FIR no. 09/17 u/s 392/397/34 IPC was registered at Rani Bagh police station and investigation of the case was taken up.
INFORMATION, TEAM AND OPERATION : Keeping in view the sensitivity of the case, various teams were constituted and Special Staff, North-West District was roped in.  A team led by Inspector Balihar Singh of the Special Staff and consisting of SI Vikas, SI Vijender, SI Manjeet, ASI Sukhvinder, ASI Sushil, ASI Suresh, Head Constable Satender, Constable Somveer and Constable Dalbir was formed under the supervision of ACP (Operations) Chandra Kumar Singh and overall guidance of the Sh. Milind Dumbere, DCP/North-West.The team worked tirelessly to work out the case. Informers were activated. Technical surveillance was mounted. Sequence of event was reconstructed.  After analysis of the available inputs, the team zeroed down on the suspects behind the robbery. Efforts of the police bore fruits when one Naveen was confronted with the details of the case. Initially he feigned ignorance but spilled the beans after sustained interrogation. Subsequently, Naveen’s associates who hatched conspiracy and share information regarding carrying of money by the complainant. All four were arrested form different locations. The team recovered robbed money Rs. 4,20,000, the bike and 5 mobile phone used in the crime from these arrested persons. There were total six persons who were involved in this whole crime. Two of the accused persons who used to keep eye on the persons carrying huge amount and supplied the information to their associates Amit and Dileep. Efforts are being made to trace them and recover reaming amount.
MODUS OPERANDI
The prime accused Naveen worked for a businessman and looked after his monetary transactions. On the fateful day, he delivered cash to the victim who collected it and left for his destination. The accused passed on the information about the cash, the victim and his destination to one Amit and one other person who is absconding. Amit transferred this information to one Dileep. He in turn passed the information to one Ravi Gupta alias Happy who in collusion with another absconder robbed the victim at gunpoint.
During interrogation it was revealed that these six persons had previously committed three more robberies i.e. of Rs. 27.40 Lakh in the area of Nabi Karim, 25 Lakh near Sarai Rohilla Flyover, and Rs. 10.10 Lakh in the area of Pahar Ganj  using the same modus operandi. These robberies were claimed to have been committed within span of 2 months. These  are being verified and connected.
PROFILE OF ACCUSED PERSON

  1. Naveen @ Natha Ram age 23 yrs  R/o Village Basan, Tehsil Revdar, Distt. Sirohi, Rajsthan is a school dropout and doing job in a private firm in Sadar Bazar.
  2. Dileep Sharma age 22 year R/o Village Vijaygarhi, Tehsil Sehswan, District Badaun, U.P. has studied upto 12th class and used to work as a Gym Trainer.
  3. Amit Kumar age 26 yrs R/o Village Rustampur kurkawali, District Sambhal, U.P. is a school dropout and works as a driver.
  4. Ravi Gupta @ Happy age 31 yrs R/o B-5/14, Sector-3, Rohini, Delhi has studied up to 12th class and found previously involved in 5 cases of similar nature.

Sagar @ Punter a sharp shooter of Naveen Khati Gang arrested

Two sophisticated pistols alongwith 9 cartridges recovered. A reward of Rs 50,000/- was declared by Delhi Police for his arrest. A team of Special Cell, Northern Range, led by Insp. Sanjay Nagpal, Inspr. Prabhat Kumar & Insp. Pankaj Kumar under the supervision of Shri Pankaj Sood, ACP has arrested sharp shooter of notorious and desperate gangster Naveen @ Khati namely  Sagar @ Punter, alongwith his associate Ravi @ Cheeru. Two pistols alongwith 9 cartridges were recovered from their possession.  A Bullet Motor-Cycle used by gangster has also been seized.
