A REWARDED CRIMINAL-CUM-PROCLAIMED OFFENDER CARRYING A REWARD OF RS.50,000/- ARRESTED

  • DESERTED HIS WIFE AND 2 YEARS OLD SON IN 2010.
  • WAS LIVING WITH ANOTHER WOMAN IN A LIVE-IN-RELATIONSHIP, WHEN APPREHENDED.
  • A HEAD CONSTABLE WITH BSF BUT DISMISSED FROM THE SERVICE IN 2009.
Crime Branch has apprehended Rahul Arora (36 yrs) s/o late Dharampal Arora r/o H.No.60, Village Rajpur Khurd, Near Khatri Study Centre, Chattarpur, Delhi who was carrying a reward of Rs.50,000/- on his arrest in a case related to criminal breach of trust and cruelty towards his wife.
The accused used to be a Head Constable with Border Security Force and was dismissed from the service since he absconded from his duties without informing the force about his antecedents. He was having a troubled marriage with his wife with whom he had a son out of the wedlock. In the year 2010 he left his wife and a two years old son and went to Dehradun (Uttarakhand) in hiding and never returned back to his home. His wife got a case u/s 498-A/406/34 IPC registered against him and the in-laws. Rahul Arora did not bother to join the investigation despite several reminders by the IO later he went into hiding again. He was got declared a Proclaimed offender at the time of filing of charge sheet. Later in June 2016, on the directions of the Hon’ble Court a reward of Rs.50,000/- was declared on his arrest.  
On 14.01.2017, HC Praveen Kumar received an information about the whereabouts of Rahul Arora. He shared the information with his seniors and immediately, a team led by ACP Sandeep Lamba comprising of Inspr. Ashish Kumar Dubey, SI Vineet Kumar, ASI Ajay Kumar, Ajeet Singh, Jitender, Joginder, Rakesh, HCs Rajeev Kumar, Sudhir Kumar, Praveen Kumar, Shahir, Moolchand, Cts. Karnal, Nishant and Praveen was constituted under the supervision of DCP Rajesh Deo and overall supervision of Addl.CP KK Vyas to nab him. The raiding party reached in the area of Chattarpur, Delhi. When the informer confirmed that Rahul Arora has just reached his room, the raiding team swung into action and Rahul Arora was apprehended.
PROFILE:-
Rahul Arora was born in a middle class family and was the only son of his parents. He was good in water sports and it was because he excelled in this field that he was able to secure a job in BSF as a head constable in the year 1998. He got married in the year 2007 but soon after his marriage his married life ran into rough water. They had a son born in 2008 out of the wedlock.

They started living separately from their parents as a last ditch efforts to save the wedding but to no avail. Rahul Arora then left the house without telling anyone about his new location and started working as labour in order to earn livelihood first in Dehradun and then the back in Delhi. It was in Delhi that he met his new live-in partner and he stated working with her as event co-ordinator in marriage organizations/ tent houses.  They have been living together for the past around three years.

Two sophisticated pistols alongwith 9 cartridges recovered. A reward of Rs 50,000/- was declared by Delhi Police for his arrest. A team of Special Cell, Northern Range, led by Insp. Sanjay Nagpal, Inspr. Prabhat Kumar & Insp. Pankaj Kumar under the supervision of Shri Pankaj Sood, ACP has arrested sharp shooter of notorious and desperate gangster Naveen @ Khati namely  Sagar @ Punter, alongwith his associate Ravi @ Cheeru.
