Desperados having association with Samunder Khatri and Jitender @ Gogi gangs arrested


  • Dreaded criminal Ajay Kumar, having linkage with gangs, arrested along with his associate Anil Kumar.
  • Wanted in cases of Abduction & Car-jacking/robberies.
  • Two sophisticated semi-automatic pistols along with 04 live cartridges recovered.
  • One swift car, robbed from Narela and one Scooty stolen from Ambala recovered.
A team of Special Cell, Northern Range, led by Insp. Sanjay Nagpal and assisted by Inspr. Prabhat Kumar, under the supervision of Shri Pankaj Sood, ACP has arrested two desperate criminals Ajay Kumar r/o Narela, Delhi (a gangster of Samunder Khatri Gang having linkage with Jitender @ Gogi gang) and Anil Kumar r/o Bhiwani (Haryana) on 12/01/2016 at about 07:45 PM from Narela Industrial Area, Delhi while they were travelling in a robbed Swift Car. They were carrying loaded semi-automatic pistols.
Development of information
Special Cell has been tasked to develop information about the desperate gangs active in Delhi and NCR. In this process, technical as well as manual surveillance has been mounted. On 12/01/2016, a specific information was received by Ct Kuldeep at the office of Special Cell/Northern Range that a gangster of Samunder Khatri gang having links with Jitender @ Gogi gang, involved in several cases of murders/robberies/abduction would come to Narela Industrial Area in a Swift car alongwith his associate. He would be armed with loaded sophisticated weapons in order to commit car-jacking. On this, a raiding party consisting of SI Ashwini Kumar, ASI Hari,  ASI Harjeet, HC Devender, Ct. Kuldeep and HC (Dvr.) Anil was detailed. At about 7.45 pm, the said car was found coming from GT Karnal Road side, which was tactfully intercepted by the team and both the occupants were overpowered. Both the accused persons were possessing loaded semi-automatic pistols. Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 03/17 dt. 12.01.17 u/s 25 Arms Act PS Special Cell, Delhi was registered and both the accused persons were arrested. The recovered Swift Car was later on found to be robbed on 19/12/2016 from Narela, Delhi.
Brief criminal profile of arrested accused persons
  1. Ajay Kumar s/o Raj Singh r/o Pana Udhyan, Narela, Delhi. (aged 29 years).
Accused Ajay studied upto 12th class in Govt. School of Narela, Delhi. Accused Ajay was arrested with a country made pistol for the first time in the year 2007. Since then he has been found involved in 13 cases of Murder, Car-jackings/robberies, Arms Act, Hurt, etc. registered in Delhi & Haryana. While his confinement in Jails, he came in contact with gangsters of Samunder Khatri and Jitender @ Gogi gangs and committed crimes for the existence of these gangs by committing murder of witness or tried to arrange safe houses for the gangsters. Besides, he alongwith his different associates had committed 5 car-jackings in Delhi and Haryana. He remained in jail time and again and was last released from the jail in May’ 2016. After release from jail, he associated another arrestee Anil Kumar with him and on 19/12/2016, he alongwith Anil Kumar and others robbed the recovered Swift Car from Narela, Delhi. On the same night, he alongwith his brother Vijay and associate Anil had committed Abduction of one Property Dealer of Narela for ransom and later on robbed the car of the victim. FIRs are found registered in both the incidents. He has also been avoiding court appearances in some of the previous pending trial cases.
  1. Anil Kumar s/o Rajender Singh r/o VPO Dhanana, Distt. Bhiwani, (Haryana) (age 27 years)
Accused Anil Kumar studied up to BA IInd year and was previously involved in two cases of Murder and Excise Act. In the year 2007, he along with his associates had committed Murder of one Sanjeev r/o Nihal Vihar, Nangloi, Delhi in order to take revenge of his friend’s enmity with the assurance of getting some financial gains. He remained in jail for several years. During his confinement in jail, he came in contact with dreaded criminal co-accused Ajay Kumar. However, after released from jail, till the release of Ajay Kumar, he indulged in smuggling of illicit liquor from Haryana to Delhi and was arrested by joint team of Excise Department & PS Farsh Bazar, Delhi in the month of Oct. 2016. Later on he was released on bail. With the association of Ajay Kumar and other, he committed robbery of recovered Swift Car and abduction of property dealer for ransom as mentioned above.

The preliminary interrogation of arrestee Ajay Kumar has revealed that  in the year 2012, while he was lodged in Delhi Jail, he came in contact with Naveen Khatri, a sharp shooter of Samunder Khatri gang, and his brother Nitin Khatri. Naveen Khatri is one of the most wanted gangsters of samunder Khatri gang who is carrying a reward of Rs 50,000/- for his arrest. Beside other cases, Nitin Khatri alongwith his associate Narsi r/o Narela, another big name in the criminal world, had committed the murder of one Praveen at Sonepat, Haryana. One Suresh r/o Narela was one of the prime witnesses in that case. Under the instructions of Nitin Khatri, after release from jail, Ajay Kumar killed witness Suresh.

Further interrogation revealed that while lodged in Rohini Jail, in the year 2014, he came in contact with one Gulshan @ Gulu, a gangster of Jitender @ Gogi Gang. In the month of July’ 2016, Gulshan @ Gulu alongwith other gangsters effected the forcible release of Jitender @ Gogi from police custody when Jitender @ Gogi was being taken for his court appearance in Haryana. After that incident, Gulshan @ Gulu alongwith others contacted arrestee Ajay Kumar for shelter but could not arrange safe house/s for the gangsters in time. Gulshan @ Gullu has since been arrested.

Sagar @ Punter a sharp shooter of Naveen Khati Gang arrested

Two sophisticated pistols alongwith 9 cartridges recovered. A reward of Rs 50,000/- was declared by Delhi Police for his arrest. A team of Special Cell, Northern Range, led by Insp. Sanjay Nagpal, Inspr. Prabhat Kumar & Insp. Pankaj Kumar under the supervision of Shri Pankaj Sood, ACP has arrested sharp shooter of notorious and desperate gangster Naveen @ Khati namely  Sagar @ Punter, alongwith his associate Ravi @ Cheeru. Two pistols alongwith 9 cartridges were recovered from their possession.  A Bullet Motor-Cycle used by gangster has also been seized. A reward of Rs 50,000/- was declared by Delhi Police for his arrest. There is a long history of gang war in Najafgarh and adjoining areas.
