Sensational blind murder case of lady solved by Crime Branch after more than 8 years

• The 18 years aged lady was killed by her live-in partner in Sultanpuri area and her dead body was dumped with the help of his associate in area of Najafgarh, Delhi after crushing her face about 8 years ago.
• Main accused arrested along with his associate.   
• The dead body was recovered by local police 8 years back and remained unidentified till now and murder case was sent as Untraced after investigation.
• After murder, the accused had sent a fake letter to the family of deceased in her signatures saying that she is living happy married life and does not want any interference in personal life.         

INTRODUCTION: The Crime Branch has solved a sensational blind murder case of PS Najafgarh of an 18 years old lady who was killed by her live-in partner about 8 years back and arrested the main accused along with his associate. The accused person has been identified as her live-in partner Bijender @ Rinku (aged 28 years) s/o Late Mahender Singh r/o D-252, Aman Vihar, Delhi. His associate who helped him to dump the dead body after crushing her face has been identified as Rahul (aged 30 years) s/o Ashok Kumar r/o H. No. 106, Bhasko Colony, Near Indira Service Station, Dhansa Road, Najafgarh, Delhi. The dead body of the deceased was recovered by local police of PS Najafgarh 8 years back from bushes near ply factory, Surakhpur Road and a case of murder was registered and the case was sent as untraced in the year 2010 as neither the deceased nor the culprits could be identified despite best efforts by local police during investigation. The deceased lady has been now identified as Ms. Aarti d/o Vishal r/o Sultanpuri, Delhi.       

INCIDENT

On 24.09.2008 at about 7:30 am, an unidentified female dead body of fair complexion and wearing yellow suit was found lying in bushes at a road near Ply Factory, Surakhpur Road, Najafgarh. The face of the dead body was found crushed by blunt object. On this, a case of murder vide FIR No. 565/08 dated 24.09.2008 u/s 302 IPC was registered at PS Najafgarh and investigation was taken up by local police. During investigation, all efforts were made by local police through all angles to identify the deceased and the culprits. As the physical features of the dead body were looking like from Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand or Nepali region, hence lot of investigation was also done in these areas and several persons belonging to these areas and residing in locality were also examined by local police. Despite all sincere efforts, neither the dead body nor the culprits could be identified. Subsequently, the case was sent as Untraced by local police of PS Najafgarh on 20.01.2010.

INFORMATION, TEAM & OPERATION

On 11.04.2017, ASI Govind Singh posted in SWR, Crime Branch, Dwarka received secret information that one Rahul r/o Najafgarh who had dumped the deadbody of a lady near Ply Factory, Najafgarh about 8-9 years back would come near BDO Office, Najafgarh in the evening. This information was further developed and a core team of Crime Branch led by ACP Jasbir Singh and consisting of Insp. Yashpal Singh, ASIs Govind Singh, Mahesh Tyagi, Randhawa, Satpal Singh, HCs Dharmender, Ramkumar, Rajeev Sahrawat, Consts. Kuldeep, Ravinder, Rahul Kumar and Ct./Dvr. Sanjiv Kumar was constituted to nab the criminal. The Crime Branch team laid a trap near expected place of arrival and the accused Rahul was successfully apprehended. On sustained interrogation, the accused Rahul confessed his involvement in crime and revealed that another accused Bijender @ Rinku has complete knowledge of about the deceased lady. Accordingly, the accused Bijender @ Rinku was also apprehended successfully by Crime Branch from Balbir Vihar, Kirari Suleman Nagar area. On interrogation, he confessed his involvement in crime and disclosed that in the year 2008, he killed a girl Arti who was living with him in live-in relationship and dumped her dead body in Najafgarh area with the help of his associates. Accordingly, both the accused persons were arrested under appropriate sections of law.

INTERROGATION & DISCLOSURE

On interrogation of the accused persons startling facts of the case came to light and it was revealed that in the year 2006, while he was living in Sultanpuri area, he came in contact with a teenage girl Aarti living nearby to his house and influenced her. In the year 2008, Aarti left her parent’s house and started living with accused Bijender @ Rinku in live-in relationship term.

After 3-4 months, a dispute arose between them and in the night of 23.09.2008, the accused Bijender @ Rinku killed Aarti by strangulation. After this, he hired a TSR and told the driver that his wife is possessed by evil powers and he is taking her to Najafgarh for process of exorcism. Thereafter, he along with his brother Joginder took her dead body to Najafgarh, where in-laws of Joginder were residing and called Rahul who brought up car of his maternal uncle Ravi r/o Mitrao for further disposal of dead body. Finally, they shifted the dead body from TSR to car and took it near Ply Factory, Surakhpur Road and dumped it in bushes after crushing her face by blunt type object so that she could not be identified.

Accused accompanied parents of deceased to police station for lodging complaint of missing  

Thereafter on next day, the accused Bijender @ Rinku approached parents of deceased Aarti and told them that she has left away from his house with someone. The accused Bijender @ Rinku also asked her parents to lodge a complaint with police and also accompanied them to lodge a missing report in PS Sultanpuri where the Duty Officer asked them to bring a photo of Aarti. But her photograph was not available with them so they did not lodged missing report.

Accused changed his house, get married & named his wife as Aarti to hoodwink people.

 

Thereafter, the accused Bijender @ Rinku sold out his house in Sultanpuri and started residing in Aman Vihar area thinking that his crime would not be detected by police and got married with a girl of Patel Nagar, Delhi in October-2009 and named and introduced her as Aarti so that nobody in area suspect about his crime. Presently, he has three sons aged about 7, 5 and 2 years from his present wife Aarti and is doing job of taxi driver in the area as well indulged in black magic activities.

After murder, the accused sent fake letter to parents of deceased in her name & signatures

The accused forcibly got signatures of deceased Aarti on blank papers before killing her and after sometime, he sent a fake letter to her father Vikram through a tea vendor bearing her signatures and addressing her mother and father that she has left Bijender @ Rinku and got married to son of an advocate and is living happy married life and asked her parents to not to contact Bijender @ Rinku and her in any case. In the said letter, Aarti has requested her parents not to search and contact her and told that she is living happy married life with her husband and not interested for any interference in her personal life and further told that she is going out of Delhi with her husband. She had also assured her parents that she would remain in touch with them through letters. After receiving the letter, family members of the deceased never raised suspicion about killing of their daughter but were satisfied that she was living a better life.

After receiving the letter, father of Aarti got shocked and remained ailed most of the time and finally expired about three years back. Presently, mother of deceased Aarti is living with her two brothers in Sultanpuri area and they were not aware about the murder of Aarti.     

The concerned authorities have been informed regarding arrest of the accused persons and to re-open the investigation of the case.
