INTER-STATE ILLEGAL GUN TRAFFICKING RACKET BUSTED

  • SUPPLIER OF ILLEGAL ARMS ARRESTED
  • 20 PISTOLS OF 7.65 MM RECOVERED.
    A team of Special Cell led by Inspr. Satendra Mohan under the supervision of Shri Govind Sharma, ACP/SR, Special Cell has busted an Inter-State gang of illegal firearm trading racket and apprehended one person namely Taiyab, aged 25 years s/o Roshan r/o Vill. Utawar ka Nangla, PO Sahpur, P.S. Kosi Kalan, Distt. Mathura, UP. Total 20 illegal semi-automatic sophisticated pistols of 7.65 mm have been recovered from the accused person. The recovered weapons are engraved with “USA 32” markings.
OPERATION
It had come to notice that an arms manufacturer and suppliers from MP and Bihar are supplying sophisticated firearms in Delhi-NCR and adjoining areas of UP. Accordingly, a team of Special Cell led by Inspector Satendra Mohan was deputed to identify the gang in Delhi & NCR. This team worked diligently and relentlessly by deploying informers in and around Delhi and UP West.
APPREHENSION
On 20.04.2017, a specific information was received that one person namely Taiyab would come near Harkesh Nagar Bus stand, Mathura Road, Delhi at about 5:00 to 6:00 PM to deliver a huge cache of semi-automatic weapons to his contacts. Accordingly, a trap was laid by the team of Insp. Satendra Mohan near Harkesh Nagar Bus stand, Mathura Road, Delhi. At about 5:30 PM, one person got down from the bus which was coming from Faridabad side towards Delhi. He was carrying a bag in his right hand. He moved from the bus stand and stood near Pillar No. 222, Metro line ( ITO to Faridabad).  He was waiting for someone.  After some time when no one turned up and he was about to leave, he was  overpowered and apprehended. This person was identified as Taiyab, aged 25 years s/o Roshan r/o Vill. Utawar ka Nangla, PO Sahpur, P.S. Kosi Kalan, Distt. Mathura, UP.
On checking the orange colour bag of accused Taiyab, 20 semi-automatic sophisticated pistols were recovered. A case vide FIR No. 28/17 dated 21.04.2017 u/s 25 Arms Act, PS Special Cell, New Delhi has been registered.  
INTERROGATION
Interrogation of Taiyab has revealed that these weapons were collected by him from a supplier who is resident of Sendhwa, Distt. Badwani, MP and the same were to be supplied to one person resident of Harkesh Nagar, New Delhi and three persons who are resident of  Kosi Kalan, Distt. Mathura,UP. Earlier also Taiyab has supplied arms in Delhi NCR, UP and Haryana on several occasions.
PROFILE OF CRIMINAL:
Taiyab was born in 1992 in Village Utawar ka Nangla, PS Kosi Kalan, Distt. Mathura, UP. He studied up to 4th standard. He is married and having 4 children. Earlier he was working in scrap work in Surat, Gujarat. Being unable to make sufficient earnings, he came in contact with arms traffickers of Delhi, Haryana and UP. Thereafter, he started supplying illegal arms to local arms traffickers. He used to collect the illegal semi-automatic pistols from a supplier of Sendhwa, Distt. Barwani, MP on the directions of local arms traffickers and further supplies to them in Delhi NCR, UP and Haryana. He was also arrested in a case of arms act at PS Hodal, Distt. Palwal, Haryana one year ago.
His previous involvements are being verified from his local police station.
Forward and backward linkages are being ascertained. Investigation is underway.

Sagar @ Punter a sharp shooter of Naveen Khati Gang arrested

Two sophisticated pistols alongwith 9 cartridges recovered. A reward of Rs 50,000/- was declared by Delhi Police for his arrest. A team of Special Cell, Northern Range, led by Insp. Sanjay Nagpal, Inspr. Prabhat Kumar & Insp.
