Fugitive criminal of UP, Gajender @ Bhola arrested by Crime Branch from Bindapur area

  • The accused was one of the most wanted criminals of Etah, UP.
  • Involved in 13 cases of Murder, Attempt To Murder, Gangster Act & Robbery etc. and was wanted in murder & robbery cases of Etah, UP, including a sensational murder-cum-robbery at a gas agency in Etah.
  • Accused used to tell his name to the victims in robbery cases in order to terrorize them and earn fame in crime world.

INTRODUCTION
The Crime Branch has arrested a fugitive criminal Gajender @ Bhola (age 30 years) s/o Vinod  r/o Village Lehra, Kotwali Dehat, Etah, UP, who was one of the most wanted criminal of Etah, UP and was wanted in three cases of murder and robbery including a sensational murder-cum-robbery case of PS Kotwali Dehat, Etah, UP in which the accused along with his three associates had shot dead an accountant of a gas agency owner in Etah, UP and robbed away cash to the tune of  Rs. 4 lakhs from him. The accused Gajender was such a  desperate criminal that he even used to tell his name as Bhola Yadav Lehra to the victims during commission of robberies in order to terrorize the victims and to earn fame in the crime world and by name FIRs of robbery have been registered against him. The accused was previously involved in 13 criminal cases of murder, robbery, gangster act and police encounter etc. and had come to Delhi for dealing of contract killing of a lady witness in a rape case.

INFORMATION, TEAM & OPERATION
ASI Randhawa posted in SWR, Crime Branch, Dwarka received a secret information that a fugitive criminal Gajender @ Bhola who is wanted in several cases of murder and robbery of UP would come near Nanhe Park, Bindapur to meet his associate. This information was further developed and a team of Crime Branch led by ACP Jasbir Singh and consisting of Insp. Yashpal Singh, ASIs Randhawa, Govind, Mahesh Tyagi, Bhoop Singh, HCs Dharmender, Ramkumar, Cts. Badri Prasad, Kuldeep, Ravinder and Ct./Dvr. Sanjiv Kumar was constituted to nab the criminal. The Crime Branch team laid a trap near the expected place of his arrival and the accused was successfully apprehended by the team. On interrogation, the accused confessed to  his involvement in crime and subsequently, he was arrested under appropriate sections of law and produced before the court after interrogation. The UP Police had been informed accordingly and they have taken his transit remand.

INTERROGATION & DISCLOSURE
The accused Gajender @ Bhola  belongs to a farmer family residing in village Lehra, District Etah, UP and has studied upto 10th standard. In the year 2012, he was sent to jail first time in a case of dowry death when his wife Seema succumbed to burn injuries by fire. During his jail period, he came in contact with several desperate criminals of UP and after coming out of jail he started committing robberies with passersby in the area and remained involved in about 10 cases of murder, theft, robbery, gangster act and attempt to murder in police encounter etc.

On 11th September 2016, he along with his associates planned for a big loot at ‘Fouji Gas Agency’, Rampur, Etah, UP and shot dead Vinod, Accountant of the gas agency and robbed him of Rs. 4 lacs. This daylight incident of robber-cum-murder created a sensation in the area and several agitations were staged by local public in the area and public even blocked the national highway. On this, several teams of UP Police under leadership of SSP/Etah were constituted and three accused persons were arrested in the case while the accused Gajender @ Bhola was still absconding.
After this, the accused also remained involved in dozens of incidents of robberies, out of which two cases of gun point robbery were found registered at PS Kotwali Dehat, Etah in which by name FIR has been registered against him as he robbed the victims by telling his name as Bhola Yadav Lehra in order to terrorize them and to earn fame in crime world. In these incidents, the accused alongwith his associates had robbed occupants of tempos on pistol points at two different occasions.   
During his absconding period, he kept himself hidden in various areas of Noida, Aligarh and Attraouli, UP and came to Delhi in search of livelihood and to meet one of his friend of jail period with the intention to commit some big crime in Delhi/NCR.

Sagar @ Punter a sharp shooter of Naveen Khati Gang arrested

Two sophisticated pistols alongwith 9 cartridges recovered. A reward of Rs 50,000/- was declared by Delhi Police for his arrest. A team of Special Cell, Northern Range, led by Insp.
