PROCLAIMED OFFENDER FORMER MAHAMANDALESHWAR @ SACHIDANAND @ BUILDER BABA ARRESTED BY THE POLICE OF NORTH EAST DISTRICT

One Proclaimed Offender Sachin Dutta @ Sachidanand Giri S/o Rajinder Kumar Dutta, R/o Noida UP aged 36 years and presently residing at Gomti Nagar Extension Lucknow, UP, has been arrested by District Investigation Unit, North East District. He was a Noida based Pub Owner cum builder who was a proclaimed offender. He was crowned 'Mahamandaleshwar', in 2015 and christened Sachidanand Giri Maharaj. But he was stripped of the title soon after allegations that he owned a bar at a Noida mall.
INTRODUCTION
A case FIR No 151/15 u/s 420/120B IPC dt. 16.11.15 at PS EOW, Delhi had been registered on the complaint of one Narendra Barmecha R/o Ashoka Niketan Anand Vihar Delhi in which he alleged that Sachin Dutta, his mother Tripta, his father R.K Dutta, his firm Balaji Constructions, Nathu Tyagi and his son Sachin Tyagi of village Manakpur Noida on the allegation that in June 2011, complainant was induced by Sachin Dutta, his family members and was offered a partnership in proposed project situated in Village Manakpur Noida, UP. Complainant invested in their firm and later, on 03.11.2014, complainant retired from the partnership and was offered a sum of Rs. 11.5 Crores, but this amount was never paid to him.
Efforts were made to trace and arrest Sachin Dutta but he was found absconding and Sachin Dutta was declared Proclaimed Offender on 10.05.2016 from Karkarduma Court, Delhi.
TEAM
A team consisting SI Akhilesh Bajpai, SI Rajinder, ASI Naresh, HC Bhim Singh and Ct. Dipankar under the leadership of Insp Arvind Kumar, Insp. /DIU/NED, under the supervision of Shri Ram Chander, ACP/DIU/North East District was formed.
INVESTIGATION
On 26.02.2017, SI Akhilesh Bajpai had gone to Lucknow in investigation of FIR No 710/15 u/s 420/406 IPC PS Bhajanpura with SI Rajinder, ASI Naresh, HC Bhim and Ct Deepankar and when SI reached Lucknow at about 6 AM, one secret informer met him at main Gate of Awadh Hospital Lucknow who informed SI Akhilesh that one Sachin Dutta @ Builder Baba @ Sachidanand Giri who is proclaimed offender in FIR 151/15 PS EOW Delhi is presently residing at Gomti Nagar Extension Lucknow, UP and if raided he could be apprehended. Since ASI Naresh who had earlier remained posted with EOW had knowledge of Sachin Dutta being a PO, who was identified by the informer as sachin Dutta and was apprehended by the team, whose complete identities were revealed as Sachin Dutta @ Sachidanand.
INTERROGATION
During interrogation Sachin Dutta @ Sachidanand Giri @ Builder Baba disclosed that his family business was of construction and they were leading builder in name of Balaji Constructions that has developed Balaji Residency in Indirapuram and Foster Heights, a 14-storey apartment in Ghaziabad. Sachin Dutta also owned a disco-cum-bar called ‘Quantum the Leap’ in Centrestage Mall in Noida.
On 28.07.2015, at Allahabad, Dutta was crowned ‘Mahamandaleshwar. But less than a week after the coronation, Sachin Dutta, was stripped of his title. Due to controversy over his involvement in “the liquor business” before he turned ‘saint’.
Similarly a case of fraud had also been registered at Sector 58 Noida UP, against 'Builder Baba' Sachin Dutta and seven others for allegedly mortgaging sold flats in an Indirapuram housing society to obtain bank loans, which had been subsequently transferred to Indirapuram Police Station and the accused is stated to be a Proclaimed offender in this case also, which is being verified.
He had also business dealings with Ponty Chaddha and relatives of Ponty Chaddha, Ramandeep and Kamaldeep had also been found involved with Sachin Dutta in cheating case registered at Jallandhar Punjab. The local police of Jallandhar had also visited Noida to execute the NBW of Sachin Dutta.
The accused is being produced in court and his other involvements are being verified.
