A gang of notorious thieves busted

  • 3 persons including two ladies (cousin ) arrested.
  • One Gold Chain, One Diamond Ring and 24 Silver Coins recovered.
  • One Auto-Rickshaw used in commission of crime also recovered.
  • 03 Cases of high profile theft in five star hotels worked out.
With the arrest of 3 professional thieves of notorious Sisters Gang including two cousin sisters namely (1) Shabana  R/o  PS: Pachore, Distt. Rajgarh, MP, (2) Sanjo R/o PS: Pachore, Distt. Rajgarh, MP and (3) Altaf Khan (28 years) S/o Hawaldar Khan R/o H. No. O-148, Sunder Nagri, Delhi, the team of PS Connaught Place/New Delhi District has busted a notorious gang of professional thieves who were involved in several thefts in high profile marriage functions in Delhi region. 
Incident:-
On 31.01.2017, one Shree Ram Khetan reported that on 29.01.2017, he hosted the marriage ceremony of his daughter at Hotel Shangril-la, Connaught Place, New Delhi. At about 11.30 pm, his wife told him that one of the jewellery bags she was carrying with her, was missing. There was one gold chain, one diamond ring, 24 silver coins and one mobile phone in the bag. On this a case vide FIR No. 22/17, U/S 379/34 IPC was registered at PS Connaught Place, New Delhi and investigation was taken up.
Team:-
A police team consisting of SIs Amit Kumar, Savita Yadav, ASI Jaipal Singh, HC Rakesh and Ct, Anil Yadav under the leadership of Insp. Pankaj Malik, SHO/PS Connaught Place, New Delhi District and under the overall supervision of Shri Ramesh Kumar, ACP/Connaught Place, New Delhi District was constituted to work out the case.
Investigation:-
During course of investigation, the footage of CCTV cameras installed at Hotel Shangri-la, New Delhi was scrutinized and it was revealed that two smartly dressed ladies were involved in the theft, who were roaming inside the marriage function and committed theft of jewellery bag at an appropriate opportunity, while the hosts remained busy in attending the guests.
         The task of developing information about the gang of such criminals and arrest them was assigned to the above team.  The team worked hard and deployed sources to develop the clues about such criminals.  The team got a specific information that a few members of Sisters Gang belong to District Rajgarh, MP were involved in such activities and committing theft in marriage parties in Five Star Hotels and other prominent places in Delhi. The information was further developed and it was confirmed that on 10.02.2017, the two ladies who were involved in the theft at Shangri-la hotel would be coming at Uttam Nagar (East) Metro Station along with their associate namely Altaf Khan. Subsequently, a trap was laid near Uttam Nagar (East) Metro Station and the ladies namely (1) Shabana  R/o  PS: Pachore, Distt. Rajgarh, MP, and (2) Sanjo  R/O PS: Pachore, Distt. Rajgarh, MP along with an auto driver namely Altaf Khan (28 years) S/o Hawaldar Khan R/o  H. No. O-148, Sunder Nagri, Delhi were arrested and interrogated.


Interrogation: -
During interrogation, accused persons disclosed that in view of marriage season, several groups of people had come to Delhi to commit thefts in marriage functions. They stay at various railway stations in Delhi and NCR. An auto driver namely Altaf Khan is also involved with them and he uses his auto rickshaw for transporting them to various marriage functions. The smartly dressed women used to enter the functions, loiter around the stage and target the host who carries cash and jewellery bags. The accused persons further disclosed that they had committed a number of thefts in marriage functions in Delhi. The host did not suspect any criminal movement at the stage and think that these women might be guests.  After commission of theft, the women used to run away from the spot in the auto. From the possession of the accused persons, one Gold Chain, one Diamond Ring and 24 Silver Coins have been recovered. The Auto-Rickshaw bearing No. DL-1R-U 1328 used in commission of crime has also been recovered.

Sagar @ Punter a sharp shooter of Naveen Khati Gang arrested

Two sophisticated pistols alongwith 9 cartridges recovered. A reward of Rs 50,000/- was declared by Delhi Police for his arrest. A team of Special Cell, Northern Range, led by Insp.
