Gang of burglars busted : 2 accused arrested

  • Stolen cash Rs. 1,12,000/-, 30 gms. gold, 46 gms. piece of brass and 2 screw drivers used in crime recovered.
  • 2 cases of burglary worked out.

With the arrest of two accused namely Ramesh Soni @ Karan, age 27 years s/o Shiv Kumar Soni r/o H. No. 632, K-II, Sangam Vihar and Dilip @ Dilla, age 23 years s/o Suresh Kumar r/o H. No. C-152, Sangam Vihar, the police teams of STF, South District have solved two cases of burglary and recovered stolen cash Rs.1,12,000/-, 30 gms. gold, 46 gms. piece of brass and 2 screw drivers used in crime.
Brief facts :
For the past few months, there was increase in the incidents of burglary in Saket, Mehrauli, Defence Colony, K.M. Pur, Safdarjung Enclave and Lodhi Colony.  On analyzing the incidents, it was noticed that a few isolated area of Mehruali and Neb Sarai had been mainly targeted by the criminals.   In order to prevent the spate of these street crimes, the Special Task Force, District was assigned the task to gear up its resources to identify the criminals and arrest them.  
A team of Special Task Force (STF), South District consisting of S.I. Vijay Pal, ASI Jitender, ASI Ramesh, HC Narender, Ct. Sandeep, Ct. Manoj, Ct. Naveen and Ct. Satish led by Inspr. Proshun I/C STF under the supervision of Sh. Palvinder Singh, ACP/Operations was formed.  The police team worked relentlessly and deployed sources to get clues about the burglars’ active in the area.  On receipt of specific input about the movement of burglars near Bandh Road on 10.02.17, a trap was laid and accused Ramesh Soni @ Karan s/o Shiv Kumar Soni R/o H. No. 632, K-II, Sangam Vihar and Dilip @ Dilla s/o Suresh Kumar R/o H. No. C-152, Sangam Vihar were arrested.  
Interrogation :
During interrogation, at the instance of accused persons, stolen cash Rs.1,12,000/-, 30 gms. gold, 46 gms. piece of brass and two screw drivers used in crime were recovered, which they had stolen from the area of PS Mehrauli.  Both accused disclosed to have committed the burglaries in Mehrauli along with their other associate namely Vimal @ Golu r/o Sangam Vihar.

  1. Case FIR No. 89/2017 dated 07.02.17 u/s 454/380 IPC PS Mehrauli.
  2. Case e-FIR No.000132/17 dated 06.02.17 u/s 380/454/34 IPC PS Mehrauli.
Profile of accused persons :
  1. Ramesh Soni @ Karan, age 27 years s/o Shiv Kumar Soni r/o H. No. 632, K-II, Sangam Vihar is a school dropout.  He is native of Allahabad, UP.  He runs a jewelry shop in the name of Shiv Jewelers in Sangam Vihar.  
  1. Dilip @ Dilla, age 23 years s/o Suresh Kumar r/o H. No. C-152, Sangam Vihar is pursuing his graduation from DU.  He came in contact of bad elements of the area and starting playing ‘satta’ and had debts of Rs. 5 lacs.  In order to recoup the losses, he started committing burglary and also joined Ramesh and Vimal with him.  He is previously involved in two cases of burglary of PSs Malviya Nagar and Neb Sarai.

Sagar @ Punter a sharp shooter of Naveen Khati Gang arrested

Two sophisticated pistols alongwith 9 cartridges recovered. A reward of Rs 50,000/- was declared by Delhi Police for his arrest. A team of Special Cell, Northern Range, led by Insp. Sanjay Nagpal, Inspr. Prabhat Kumar & Insp. Pankaj Kumar under the supervision of Shri Pankaj Sood, ACP has arrested sharp shooter of notorious and desperate gangster Naveen @ Khati namely  Sagar @ Punter, alongwith his associate Ravi @ Cheeru.
