GANG OF HIGHWAY TRUCK DACOITS BUSTED BY SOUTH DISTT. POLICE, THREE ARRESTED

With the arrest of three persons, Staff of Police Station Vasant Kunj, South Distt. Delhi has busted a gang of highway truck robbers and solved the case of dacoity registered vide FIR No. 130/17 Dt. 24.02.17 u/s 395/397/34 IPC r.w. 25 Arms Act, Police Station Khedki Daula, District Gurugram, Haryana regarding loot of truck containing parcels of Amazon company worth Rs. 20 Lakhs.
INCIDENT:
On the intervening night of 23-24.02.17 a truck No. HR-47C-1995 loaded with the parcels of Amazon Company driven by one Lallan Sharma S/O Choturam R/o Vill- Mahadev, P.S.Salkuwa, Distt- Saharsa Bihar departed from the godown of the company situated at Village Nawada, Gurugram for other godown of the company situated in the area of Masoodpur, Vasant Kunj. At about 3.40 AM, on the way suddenly a Alto Car obstructed the way of the truck and six assailants entered in the truck and abducted the driver at gun point and after some distance, they de boarded the driver from the truck and put him in the Alto Car and tied his face and hand with clothes and threw him from the car in an isolated place and fled with the loaded truck. A case vide FIR No. 130/17 Dt. 24.02.17 u/s 395/397/34 IPC r.w. 25 Arms Act has been registered at Police Station Khedki Daula, District Gurugram, Haryana.
Investigation & Team:
                         Since, the area of Police Station Vasant Kunj South is adjoining to the area of District Gurugram, Haryana, so the staff of Police Station Vasant Kunj South always remains alert for any incident of Gurugram District especially on the heinous crimes committed on or near NH-8. In the present case, it was learnt that the truck was on the way to Masoodpur, which falls under the jurisdiction of Police Station V.K.South. Hence, the staff of Police Station V.K.South was directed to develop intelligence about the culprits.
        On 25.02.17, at about 2 pm while a team of beat staff comprising of ASI Dalbir Singh, HC Vishram, CTs Jitender, Ravi, Omprakash were on patrolling duty, they received an input that in the ridge area of Rangpuri some bulk packets in white plastic bags are lying at a lonely place. The staff conveyed the information to Insp. Sanjay Sharma SHO/ V.K.South and a team comprising of above police personnel was constituted immediately on the supervision of SHO/V.K. South.
                   The team acted swiftly and raided  the ridge area of Rangpuri and apprehended three men who were found in the possession of bulk articles of Amazon Company.
                   They were subjected to sustained interrogation, they confessed their involvement in the above dacoity case. They further disclosed that their associates after dropping them with more than half of the articles looted by them, took away the remaining articles and the truck to dispose at other place after giving direction to guard the articles till they return for further disposal of the recovered articles.
Recovery:
  1. Total 25 sealed bags and 7 unsealed bags consisting of different products.
  2. Total 267 cartoons containing different items/ products.
  3. 6 mobile phones
