HUGE QUANTITY (3380 KG) OF POPPY STRAW (A-NARCOTICS SUBSTANCE) RECOVERED

BY THE LOCAL POLICE OF PS SAMAY PUR BADLI, ROHINI DISTRICT

On 20/2/2017, HC Dilbag Singh No. 978/RD was on patrolling in the area of SGT Nagar.  At about 2 PM, when he reached near AG-15, Sanjay Gandhi Transport Nagar, it was found that some persons were loading bags in a tempo from Truck.  One person was shouting on them to do the work speedily.  Under these suspicious conditions the HC reached near the tempo. On seeing him, one person shouted “ Bhago Bhago Police Aa Gai”. When they started to run, HC chased them and apprehended one person,  Lateron,  he was identified as Faeem S/o Lae Mohd Atis R/o House No. 25, Gali No. 8, Asaj Mohalla, Distt. Badaun, UP.  He was asked about the reason of running but he could not be able to give a satisfactory reply.  He was further enquired about the bags.  He stated that these bags are containing  DODA CHURI ( Poppy Straw- A Narcotics substance).  HC Dilbag got the above information lodged at PS Samay Pur Badli.  A team comprising of SI Deepak, HC Pawan No. 304/RD, HC Govardhan No. 967/RD and HC Dilbag No. 978/RD under the supervision of Inspector(ATO) Ramesh Kumar was constituted for further action in the matter.  Search of  both the vehicles i.e. Truck No. HR-56-5934, Ashoka Leyland and TATA 407 Tempo No. DL-ILE-2649 was made and 168 white bags each having 20 kg. Poppy straw in each bag was recovered.

In this way, a huge recovery of 3380 kg  DODA CHURI (Poopy straw- A Narcotics substance) has been made.  Accordingly a case vide FIR No. 161/17 dated 21/2/2017 U/s 15/61/85 NDPS Act has been registered and accused Faeem has been arrested. Further investigation is being carried out to unearth the deep routed conspiracy of origin and disposal of Narcotics substance.

Two sophisticated pistols alongwith 9 cartridges recovered. A reward of Rs 50,000/- was declared by Delhi Police for his arrest. A team of Special Cell, Northern Range, led by Insp. Sanjay Nagpal, Inspr. Prabhat Kumar & Insp.
