Friend hatched conspiracy to implicate his friend in attempt to murder case

  • Two accused arrested, one country made pistol, one empty cartridge and Santro Car used in commission of crime recovered.

The team of PS Saket, South District has arrested accused Ajay Kumar, 40 years s/o Dhuli Chand r/o H. No. 24/724, DDA Flats, Madangir, New Delhi and his associate Nakul  Beniwal, age 28 years s/o Anil Beniwal r/o H. No. 720 Gali No. 24, DDA Flats, Madangir, New Delhi who hatched conspiracy to implicate his friend in murder case and recovered one country made pistol, one empty cartridge and Santro Car used in crime.

Brief facts :
On 22-02-17, a PCR call was received at PS Saket regarding gunshot injury to a person.  The local police immediately reached the spot and it was revealed that the injured was taken to AIIMS Trauma Centre by PCR Van.  Statement of injured Ajay Kumar s/o Dhuli Chand R/o H. No. 24/724, DDA Flats, Madangir was recorded wherein he alleged that on 21/02/17 while he along with his friend Rani (name changed) was going towards Fish Market, Sector-4, Pushp Vihar, Saket in his car, suddenly two persons came in front of his car and asked him to come out of the car.  They also threatened him to stay out of the matter of Rani (name changed) and Vicky.  When he tried to object them, one of them took out a pistol and shot fire on his left thigh and ran away on the motorcycle.  He further stated that the description of one person who shot fire, resembles with one Vicky who is his friend.  A case vide FIR No. 78/2017 u/s 307 IPC was registered at PS Saket and investigation taken up.
Investigation :
In order to arrest the culprits, a police team comprising Inspr. Mahesh Soni, SI Rajdeep Singh, SI Amar Singh, SI Durgadas, SI Ravi Shankar Tyagi, W/SI Nitesh, ASI Praveen Kumar, HC Mumtyaj Ali, Ct. Kamlesh Ct. Balkar, Ct. Arun and W/Ct. Meena led by Inspr. Neeraj Kumar, SHO/Saket under the supervision of Sh. Rajender Pathania, ACP/Hauz Khas was formed.

During the course of investigation, prime witness of the case Rani (name changed) was examined and crime scene was analyzed minutely.  The scientific evidence collected from the spot and sequence of incident raised suspicion on the veracity of statements of the victim and prime witness.  Initially, she tried to mislead the police team and supported the version of the victim but later she disclosed that earlier Vicky was friend of Ajay.  Vicky was having an affair with Ajay’s ex-girlfriend.  Ajay wanted to take revenge from Vicky by falsely implicating him in a criminal case.  In order to settle his score, Ajay hatched a conspiracy alongwith his two friends namely Nakul Beniwal s/o Anil Beniwal R/o H. No. 24/720, DDA Flats, Madangir and Lalu @ Sunny s/o Ramu Nepali R/o H-291, Dakshinpuri, New Delhi.  As per their plan, Ajay called them at Sector-4, Pushp Vihar, near Fish Market and Nakul Beniwal fired a shot on the left thigh of Ajay so as to cause some gunshot injury which Ajay then attributed to Vicky and his associates.

The complainant Ajay was thoroughly interrogated and he confessed to have committed the crime along with his friends and he was arrested.  On his instance, co-accused Nakul Beniwal was also arrested and one country made pistol, one empty cartridge and Santro Car used in commission of crime was recovered.  Accused Nakul Beniwal disclosed to have purchased the country made pistol from a person namedly Rahul r/o Madangir, Delhi. Further investigation of the case is in progress to arrest the remaining co-accused Rahul and Lalu @ Sunny.

2. One empty cartridge.

3. One Santro Car used in offence.
