SENSATIONAL AND BRUTAL MURDER CASE WORKED OUT WITHIN 48 HOURS

 With the arrest of accused Rahul Rai r/o Pocket-6, Sec. 35, Rohini, Delhi, a team of Special Staff Rohini District, led by Inspr. Ajay Kumar  comprising of SI Baljeet Singh,  ASI Raj Kumar, HC , HC Arun Kumar, HC Shamsher, HC Ved, Ct. Sandeep Kumar and  Ct. Shiv Kumar under the supervision of ACP Sh. Roop Lal, ACP/OPS, Rohini has worked out the sensational & brutal murder case of a call centre owner namely Priyanshu @ Puneet registered vide  FIR No. 927/17 u/s 302/397 IPC of PS S.P. Badli, has been worked out.
BRIEF FACTS OF THE CASE
On 19/10/17, a PCR call was received at PS S.P.Badli regarding a quarrel. On reaching the spot, a dead body was found lying in a pool of blood. The deceased was identified as Priyanshu @ Puneet who used to run a call centre from the same premises. One of his friend namely Bitto used to live with him. On interrogation, Bittoo revealed that he alongwith his friend Puneet was running a call center and has a very good reputation in the market. Smelling the success of the call center, a local bully namely Rahul starting threatening them to accept his offer of partnership in the business.
Separate teams of Special Staff alongwith teams of PS S.P. Badli were assigned the task to arrest the accused Rahul Rai.
Initially local information was gathered about the accused. It came to notice that he lives alone somewhere in Rohini. Even his address was not known to his friends. Informers were deployed to get any clue about the accused.
OPERATION
On 21.10.17, information was received by SI Baljeet Singh of Special Staff Rohini District that one wanted criminal involved in a recent case of murder would come to Village NagalDargu, Distt. Narnaul, Haryana. Acting upon this information, a trap was laid by the police team at above place and at the instance of informer; the above accused person was apprehended.
INTERROGATION
He was subjected to intensive interrogation and it was revealed that Rahul Rai wanted to take over the business of deceased Priyanshu @ Puneet. Even few days earlier, he tried to kidnap and force Bittoo to sign some agreement in respect of partnership. Puneet was not interested in getting into any partnership with Rahul. He tried to defer the deal to avoid a direct confrontation with Rahul Rai. On the fateful day, Rahul came to talk to them about the issue of partnership but when they refused, he asked for the data of customers used in the call centre from deceased Puneet.  When Puneet refused to give the same, he got infuriated and caused multiple stab wounds on him and stole the laptop containing data and other valuables from the house. When Bittoo raised an alarm, accused Rahul ran away from the spot

Profile of accused

The accused Rahul Rai is a school dropout. Once his family was very well off and they used to own a factory and had their own house in Suraj Park. After the death of parents  & due to bad habits, the family condition deteriorated with every passing day. He is unmarried and used to spend money on liquor and other articles. His habit of snatching everything which he wants to have, brought him ultimately to this fate.

Two sophisticated pistols alongwith 9 cartridges recovered. A reward of Rs 50,000/- was declared by Delhi Police for his arrest. A team of Special Cell, Northern Range, led by Insp.
