Lt. Governor, Sh. Anil Baijal chairs Law & Order meeting and reviews the action plan for implementation of vision of Delhi Police for next 10 years

       Sh. Anil Baijal, Lt. Governor, Delhi chaired Law & Order meeting today at Raj Niwas to review the action plan for implementation of vision of Delhi Police for 2027. The meeting was attended by Pr. Secretary (Home), GNCTD, Commissioner of Police, Delhi, Spl. CPs and Jt. CPs of Delhi Police.
     Lt. Governor was informed about the vision of Delhi Police for 2020 and 2027 and action plan for next ten years.
     The scenario 2020 envisages development of smart policing ,  Integration of Technology (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), 3D printing, block chain & crypto currencies, M, self-learning systems, aggregators, Brick and Clicks, Connectivity and Convergence.
     Lt. Governor was also informed about the action plan of Delhi Police for next three years such as use of data analytics based predictive policing; connected multi-jurisdictional records; return of Human intelligence as the Central Piece; Centralized Database for remote Suspect Verification; single platform for seamless delivery of  services.
        Lt. Governor was further informed about the action plan prepared by Delhi  Police such as Multi Stakeholder Engagement; open source intelligence solution; enterprise information integration solution; cyber fusion centre; security operations centre; CCTNS; E-Beat Book (to improve the beat system); expansion of Crime Mapping & Prediction System; Centralized Monitoring System; One Touch App (for citizen services);  Facial Recognition; Safe-City Project, linking CCTV Cameras with facial recognition system;         14 Mobile Forensic Vans with trained Staff (1 for each district); E-learning portal, Simulation Based Cyber Training, Firing Simulator, Driving Simulator for training; upgraded Digital Wireless System, upgraded cyber highway; Emergency Response (NERS 112); Command & Control Vehicles; Intelligent Traffic Management System, etc.
    Hon’ble Lt. Governor emphasized that the action plan for various proposals needs to be prioritized and taken up in phased manner.
   He further desired that personnel at all levels need to be familiarised with the technological upgradation. He further desired that the training centre should also be upgraded in consultation with various knowledge partners.
    Lt. Governor stressed that in place of different applications, there should be single omnibus application  for citizens and asked Delhi Police to come up with definite actionable time-bound plans focusing on immediate requirements keeping in view their technological and personnel capabilities.

   Lastly, Lt. Governor directed Delhi Police to enhance human resource capability to enable greater use of technology effectively and efficiently for welfare of public.
