SENSATIONAL BANK BURGLARY SOLVED

• THREE BURGLARS ARRESTED
• COINS OF TOTAL WORTH OF RS. 2,20,120 RECOVERED

The staff of Police Station Mukherjee Nagar, North West District, have arrested three burglars and solved a sensational case of Bank Burglary and most of the case property have been recovered from their possession.

BRIEF OF INCIDENT

On 21.08.2017, an information was received at PS Mukherjee Nagar, Delhi that some unknown persons entered into the Syndicate Bank, BBM DTC Bus Depot, by cutting the iron rod and committed burglary in the said bank. The police staff reached the spot and found that on the intervening night of 20/21.08.2017, some unknown persons entered into the bank by cutting iron rod and total coins of sum of Rs. 2,30,000/- were found stolen. All the connecting wires of CCTV cameras were also cut down by the burglars to avoid the identification. Accordingly a case vide FIR No. 585/17 u/s 457/380/34 was registered and investigation was taken up. Only clue was available through CCTV that a tattoo mark ‘R’ is present on the left wrist and a dodgy image of two boys was also found during examination of CCTV footage.

INVESTIGATION & OPERATION    

Keeping in view the gravity and the nature of crime, a team under the guidance of Sh. Hukma Ram, ACP/Model Town, under the supervision of Insp. Anil Kumar Chauhan, SHO/PS Mukherjee Ngr. Comprising of SI Praveen Sharma, SI Arun Kumar, HC Anil, Ct. Rakesh and Ct. Sonu was constituted. During investigation, the maintenance staff of the BBM DTC Bus Depot, which were appointed by a Company, were examined because the entry in the bank was made from the premises of the said bus depot. During examination of the maintenance staff of BBM Bus Depot, a person namely Rahul s/o Inderpal was found suspicious, who has the same tattoo mark as seen in CCTV. On sustained interrogation he broke down and confessed his involvement in the commission of the Syndicate Bank Burglary, which is just adjacent to the BBM DTC Bus Depot. At this, search of case property as well as other accused persons, were conducted and all the three accused persons namely 1. Rahul Age-21 Years r/o Rajeev Garden, Loni Border, Ghaziabad, UP, 2. Rahul Age-19 Years r/o Rajeev Garden, Loni Border, Ghaziabad, UP and 3. Anuj @ Saurav Age-23 Years r/o Old Ashok Nagar, Delhi were arrested and stolen amount was recovered from their possession.

All the above mentioned accused persons hatched a conspiracy to break the Bank and to steal the money. Almost all the money has been recovered from the possession of above mentioned accused persons and the tools which were used to cut the iron rod of the window of Bank, has been recovered. Prior to the incident, accused Rahul had reikied the bank premises. He is fond of crime thriller TV Serial and he wanted to earn quick money with the shortest way.

RECOVERY

1. Total INR coins of denomination of Rs. 10/- and Rs. 05/- (46 polythene containing coins), total worth of Rs. 2,20,120/-, have been recovered.
2. One electric hand Grinder/Cutter, which was used to cut window of Bank.
3. One Grinder Blade has been recovered just near the window of the Bank.

PROFILE OF THE ACCUSED PERSONS

1. Accused Rahul Age-21 Years r/o Rajeev Garden, Loni Border, Ghaziabad, UP, is an employee in BBM DTC Bus Depot, Delhi, provided by a Company for maintenance of its  buses. He used to wash the buses.
2. Accused Rahul Age-19 Years r/o Rajeev Garden, Loni Border, Ghaziabad, UP is an employee in GTK DTC Bus Depot, Delhi, provided by a  Company for maintenance of its buses. He used worked as a store helper.
3. Anuj @ Saurav Age-23 Years r/o Old Ashok Nagar, Delhi, is an employee in BBM DTC Bus Depot, Delhi, provided by the Company for maintenance of its buses. He used to wash the buses.
