One notorious robber dead in firing in self defense by the civilian

Ø  Two-loaded country made pistols, Six live cartridges and Various house breaking instruments recovered.

 INCIDENT
In the night intervening 25/26-08-2017 at about 3.15 AM a PCR call regarding entry of thieves in a shop situated at Karawal Nagar was received at P.S. Karawal Nagar. On receipt of the said information, Insp. Tanvir Ashraf SHO/Karawal Nagar, SI Sandeep, ASI Shiv Kumar, Ct.  Pankaj and Ct. Sachin immediately rushed to the spot. The police party cordoned off the said shop. Search was made but no thief was found present in and around the shop.

Thereafter, enquiry was conducted, owner of one Electronic showroom Sh.  Akash Jain  R/o Main Road Karawal Nagar along with younger brother Agam Jain and his neighbor  Sh. Ashok Kumar R/o Main Road Karawal Nagar, Delhi aged 56 years were present at the spot. On formal enquiry it came to notice that three criminals with country made pistols and house breaking instruments entered at the roof of the said electronic showroom. They had broken the door of the room situated at the roof of the showroom with the intention to enter in to the showroom. The owner of the said showroom had recently installed camera with sensors to all entry points of the showroom. The said system was linked with the automatic system of ‘Safe guard India’. By this system as and when any person try to break the gate of the showroom immediately message passes to his mobile phone. Further a telephonic message was also being received on the connected mobile phone. Thus, the owner got the message regarding entry of criminals in his showroom. He passed the information to his neighbor Ashok Kumar. When Ashok Kumar and his son Devender rushed to their own roof to see the thieves, the assailants started firing on them. To save their life Ashok Kumar also fired on the assailants with his licensed rifle. In the said incident one of the criminal got shot died at the roof whereas two thieves succeeded to flee away from the spot. Thereafter, the showroom owner informed the Police Control room.

          On inspection two loaded country made pistols, various house breaking instruments were found at the spot. On the personal search of the dead criminal six live cartridges were also found from his pant. Accordingly on the complaint of Sh. Ashok Kumar a case vide FIR No. 434/17 u/s 394/307/34 IPC & 25/27 Arms Act dated 26.08.2017 was registered at P.S. Karawal Nagar and investigation was taken up.


INVESTIGATION

          During investigation, installed CCTV cameras at showroom were checked. It was noticed that the criminals disconnected the CCTV cameras. But before doing the same their pictures were captured. Crime team and a team of FSL Delhi were also summoned at the spot. After inspection the dead body was removed from the spot. Photograph of the dead criminal was matched with the available record of the online dossier system of Delhi Police. Finally, the team succeeded in identifying the said criminal as Danish R/o Welcome, Delhi aged 25 years. 

          During course of further investigation, it was come in to notice that the said Danish was previously involved in following cases.

(5)  FIR No. 57/17      u/s 356/379/ IPC                   P.S. Welcome
(6)  FIR No. 199/17    u/s 323/452/506/34 IPC       P.S. Welcome.

Further, CCTV footage of another attempt to murder case reported on 15.08.2017 at PS Shahdara was examined and it has come to the notice that the said Danish was also involved in the said incident. In this regard a case vide FIR No. 303/17 u/s 307/34 IPC & 27 Arms Act was also registered at PS Shahdara. Efforts are on to identify the remaining two criminals involved in the present case.

Sagar @ Punter a sharp shooter of Naveen Khati Gang arrested

Two sophisticated pistols alongwith 9 cartridges recovered. A reward of Rs 50,000/- was declared by Delhi Police for his arrest. A team of Special Cell, Northern Range, led by Insp.
