Interstate Co-ordination Meeting

An interstate co-ordination meeting aimed at strengthening cooperation and coordination in order to address various issues related to policing in NCR was held under the chairpersonship of CP/Delhi today at PHQ. The main objective of the meeting was to share terror related intelligence and inputs about various extremist outfits & their plan to disturb peace in view of forthcoming Independence Day celebration.  Senior officers of Delhi Police and their counterparts from Haryana, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Uttrakhand, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, J&K, Rajasthan, and Chandigarh attended the meeting.
               
CP/Delhi laid stress on increasing police presence, intensive and co-ordinated checking at vulnerable points beside other preventive measure like tenant verification, guest house checking, sensitization of cyber café owners, second-hand car dealers etc. in order to strengthen the counter terrorism measures.  

The officers attending the meeting shared intelligence to check crimes committed by interstate criminals and organised gangs of auto lifters operating in their respective areas.  Issues of human trafficking, missing children, proliferation of fake Indian currency notes (FICN), smuggling of illicit firearms etc were also discussed, besides preventive steps emphasizing upon integrated joint checking at unmanned borders.
  Traffic restrictions during Independence Day celebration   and steps to check unauthorised intrusion at borders were discussed and officers of other states were requested to cooperate for ensuring the same.

Inputs received from Central Intelligence Agencies that terrorist may use unsuspecting garb to make strike during National celebrations.  All officers were also briefed to share advance intelligence having interstate ramifications on law and order.  
  The meeting ended with a resolution to have increased co-ordination in policing in the NCR region with emphasis on one to one interaction at all levels and units in order to provide a more secure environment to citizens of Delhi and neighbouring states.

Sagar @ Punter a sharp shooter of Naveen Khati Gang arrested

Two sophisticated pistols alongwith 9 cartridges recovered. A reward of Rs 50,000/- was declared by Delhi Police for his arrest. A team of Special Cell, Northern Range, led by Insp. Sanjay Nagpal, Inspr. Prabhat Kumar & Insp. Pankaj Kumar under the supervision of Shri Pankaj Sood, ACP has arrested sharp shooter of notorious and desperate gangster Naveen @ Khati namely  Sagar @ Punter, alongwith his associate Ravi @ Cheeru. Two pistols alongwith 9 cartridges were recovered from their possession.  A Bullet Motor-Cycle used by gangster has also been seized. A reward of Rs 50,000/- was declared by Delhi Police for his arrest. There is a long history of gang war in Najafgarh and adjoining areas. Naveen @ Khati gang is a desperate gang having rivalry with Manjeet Mahal/ Ravinder @ Bholu gang. They are splinter group of Anoop/Balraj gang which had rivalry with Krishan Pehlwan gang. HE ALLEGEDELY OPERATED INSIDE THE JAIL CARRYING REWARD OF Rs. 20,000/- District Anti Robbery Cell, NWD has nabbed a desperate extortionist namely Harsimran @ Badal @ Simran s/o Harvinder Singh r/o BK-1/103-A, East Shalimar Bagh, Delhi, who is gang leader of Harsimran @ Badal Gang and carrying reward of Rs. 20000/-.
