GRUESOME BLIND MURDER WORKED OUT IN 48 HRS BY OPERATION CELL/SWD

A Team of Operation Cell/SWD comprising SI Naveen Kumar, SI Arvind, SI Ranjeev, ASI Bijender, ASI Jaibeer, HC Umesh, HC Rajkumar, HC Brijlal, Ct Sandeep, Ct Ashwani & Ct Sudheer and a team of PS Sagarpur comprising Insp BR Sakla, Insp Saroj Bala and SI Mukesh under the close supervision of ACP (Operations) Aditya Gautam, cracked the sensational blind murder of a young man vide FIR No. 248/17 U/S 302 IPC PS Sagarpur and  arrested two hired killers :
  1. Ravi Kumar R/O Distt- Mainpuri (UP), Age-20 yrs
  2. Sughad @ Bhura R/O Distt- Etah (UP) Age- 21 Yrs

Incident:   
On 09.08.17, a PCR Call was received at PS Sagarpur regarding an unidentified dead body behind Nasirpur Sabji Mandi. Local police reached the spot and found dead body of one young man with brutal stab wounds. Deceased was identified as Anil Kumar S/O Munna Lal R/O Mundka New Delhi on the basis of documents recovered near the dead body. Efforts commenced immediately to solve the case but to no avail as there were no eye-witnesses.

Operation:
In light of the heinous nature of the offence, Operation Cell/SWD was tasked with the identification and arrest of the criminals.  The team worked relentlessly and analysed call details of several numbers. Surveillance was also put in and several persons were interrogated. CCTV footages of several public and private cameras were also scanned and analysed. The information developed during the exercise indicated that deceased was murdered due to some ‘personal’ reasons.  The information was further developed and it was concluded that Ravi Kumar S/O  Rajesh and Sughad @ Bhura have committed this murder as hired killers by one Amit Kumar. An information was received by the team on 12.08.17 that accused Ravi Kumar and Sughad @ Bhura would meet main conspirator Amit Kumar in Nasirpur area near Pakoda Park at around 11 PM. The team laid a trap at the place and arrested accused persons Ravi Kumar and Sughad @ Bhura. However main conspirator, who hired Ravi Kumar and Sughad @ Bhura, is being traced and yet to be arrested. Both the accused have confessed to their involvement in the murder. Weapon of offence, a knife, and deceased’s mobile phone were recovered from accused persons. The clothes worn by the accused at the time of committing the murder have also been recovered.
Interrogation:
During interrogation, accused revealed that they were hired by Amit Kumar as he was in a relationship with deceased Anil’s live-in partner. Amit and Anil’s live-in partner used to work at the same place in Janakpuri. They soon developed a relationship and when Anil raised an objection, Amit hatched a plan to get rid of Anil. He hired his friends Ravi Kumar and Sughad @ Bhura and promised them Rs. 40,000/- for the murder. In order to avoid suspicion, Amit left Delhi. In the evening of 08.08.17, Ravi and Sughad invited Anil over for drinks at Ravi’s place. They got him drunk and then attacked him with a kitchen knife. They kept stabbing him till they were sure that he was dead. After the murder they confirmed it to Amit on phone. Due to swift action by the team, they were arrested before they could disappear. Efforts are on to find the main conspirator Amit.
Both accused are illiterate and do odd jobs at shops and malls. They committed the murder in order to make money that they needed.

Recovery:

  • Murder weapon i.e. One Knife.
  • Mobile Phone of Deceased.
  • Mobile Phones of Accused.
  • Blood Stained Clothes worn by accused at the time of commission of crime.

Sagar @ Punter a sharp shooter of Naveen Khati Gang arrested

Two sophisticated pistols alongwith 9 cartridges recovered. A reward of Rs 50,000/- was declared by Delhi Police for his arrest. A team of Special Cell, Northern Range, led by Insp. Sanjay Nagpal, Inspr. Prabhat Kumar & Insp.
