ROBBERY CUM MURDER CASE OF OLD WOMAN SOLVED WITHIN 24 HOURS AND ROBBED JEWELLERY RECOVERED

With the arrest of accused persons namely (1) Nitesh Kumar R/o Saraswati Vihar, Prem Nagar, Loni, Ghaziabad, U.P aged 19 years and (2) Mohammed Farooque R/o Ashok Vihar, Malik City near 21 Peer Dargah, Loni, Ghaziabad, U.P, aged 46 years, Police of  North East District has solved robbery cum murder case within 24 hours and recovered robbed jewellery.
INCIDENT

On 20.08.2017, at about 09.30 PM information regarding a dead body at Gali of Phase-5, Shiv Vihar, Karawal Nagar was received. On receipt of the call Insp. Tanvir Ashraf, SHO P.S. Karawal Nagar along with staff immediately rushed to the spot where a female dead body aged about 62 years was lying in the Gali near H.No. 108 on ‘Dari’. The dead body was identified as wife of Chander Pal R/o Shiv Vihar, Karawal Nagar. There were injuries on the head of the deceased and blood was oozing from the head. The room of the deceased was found ransacked. Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 422/17 u/s 302 IPC was registered at P.S. Karawal Nagar and investigation was taken up.

TEAM
A team consisting of SI Sandeep Kumar, ASI Jaivir Singh, HC Rajeev and HC Karambir Singh under the leadership of Insp. Tanvir ashraf, SHO/Karawal Nagar and under the close supervision of Sh. Sudhir Saxena, ACP/Khajuri Khas was formed.

INVESTIGATION

During investigation, one boy aged 10 years adopted son of the deceased stated that at about 7.30 PM when he reached at his house the main gate was closed from the inside. No one was responding from inside. After some time one man opened the door from inside and fled away by stating that he is going to procure bottle of water from the market. Thereafter, boy went upstairs and found that his mother is lying in the room and blood was oozing from the head. The room was completely ransacked. Thereafter, boy went to the house of deceased sister and narrated the incident. Sister and her husband Vicky Sharma also reached there. Husband of the deceased was also informed. They took the old woman to the GTB Hospital but she was declared brought dead. The dead body was brought to the house and only thereafter, the Police was informed. The investigating agency tried to identify the said man (accused) and finally on the basis of interrogation of the family members they said boy was identified as Nitesh Kumar
. Accordingly, a trap was laid and the Nitesh was apprehended.


INTERROGATION & EXAMINATION

  During interrogation, Nitesh Kumar disclosed that earlier he was residing in the area of Shiv Vihar, Karawal Nagar along with his mother and grandmother. Deceased was the friend of his grandmother. The relationship between both families was so cordial that deceased treated Nitesh Kumar as her own grandson. Generally, he used to go to the house of deceased along with grandmother.  Meanwhile Nitesh Kumar came in to contact with some anti social elements and started committing petty thefts. He also started taking ‘Ganja’. Due to the said bad habits, he was debarred by his step father. Thereafter he openly started committing crime and in the month of January 2017, he was arrested at P.S. Loni, U.P. in a case of Arms Act. He remained in jail for about 3 months.
After his release he started to visit to the house of deceased. On the fateful day he went to the house of deceased. As usual he was welcomed by deceased but today he was in the mood of committing robbery. He assaulted on the head of deceased with the ‘BATAA” of ‘SHEEL PATHAR’. Thereafter she became unconscious. Thereafter he took out the ear ring from the body of victim. He started making search in the house, meanwhile someone started knocking the main door. Till that time he had succeeded only in taking a silver type chain from the suitcase. He further disclosed that he had given gold rings and silver chain to one Farooque who is running a tea shop in the area of Indirapuri Loni, U.P. At the instance of Nitesh said Farooque was also arrested and from his possession both ear rings and silver chain were recovered.

  1. Nitesh Kumar R/o  Saraswati Vihar, Prem Nagar, Loni, Ghaziabad, U.P, aged 19 years, unmarried, 5th dropout, working as laborer on daily wages. He is earlier involved in an Arms Act at P.S. Loni in the year 2017.
