Jarnail Singh @ Jelly, a sharp shooter of Jitender @ Gogi gang apprehended

  • Carrying Reward of Rs.1,00,000/- on his arrest in a sensational broad day light murder case of Delhi.
  • Wanted in a case of firing at Haryana police Party in 2016.
  • Proclaimed offender in two heinous cases of Delhi.
In the early hours of 12-August-2017, a team of Special Cell NDR, Lodhi Colony lead by SI Ravinder Joshi and SI Amit under the supervision of Insp. Chandrika Prasad apprehended a notorious, desperate and wanted criminal Jarnail Singh @ Jelly r/o Jhangola, Delhi, from village Bichai, Rudrapur, Uttarakhand after a shootout. Jarnail Singh @ Jelly was wanted in number of cases including cases of murder and attempt to murder in Delhi and Haryana. The Commissioner of Police, Delhi had declared a reward of Rs 1,00,000/- on his arrest in case FIR No. 60/2015 dt 20.01.2015 u/s 302/34 IPC & 25/27 Arms Act PS Mahendra Park, Delhi. He was also wanted in an attempt to murder case of PS Samalkha, Haryana in which he along with his associateJitender @ Gogihad fired on police team. A large consignment of arms and ammunition was recovered and Jitender @ Gogi was arrested at the spot whereas Jarnail Singh @ Jelly managed to escape.
Information was being received for last few weeks that accused Jarnail Singh @ Jelly along with his associates has been found moving in the area of Uttarakhand. This information was further developed and sources were deployed to trace the movements of the said criminal. On 11-08-2017,a specific information was received that Jarnail Singh @ Jelly has been spotted in Rudrapur area of Uttarakhand. Acting upon this information, the team of Special Cell immediately rushed to Rudrapur,Uttarakhand and shared this information with the local police. Subsequently, a team of Special Cell officials including staff from local police conducted a raid at village Bichai, PS Nanakmatta. Jarnail Singh @ Jelly sensed the presence of police in the area, came out of a house in the field and started to run towards open field. He was asked to surrender after disclosing the identity of police party. Instead of surrendering he took out a fire arm and fired at Police officials, when they had  started to chase him. One of the team members also fired in self-defense as a result of whichJarnail Singh @ Jelly got injured. Subsequently, he was apprehended and a pistol and 3 live cartridges were recovered from his possession. The injured criminal was immediately shifted to nearby hospital for medical treatment and later on to a Hospital in Haldwani. The Hospital at Haldwani referred him to another hospital and he was shifted to a Super Specialty Hospital in Moradabad, UP,where he is undergoing treatment. A case vide FIR No.145/17 u/s 186/353/307 IPC & 25/27 Arms Act has been registered at PS Nanakmatta, Uttarakhand and further investigation by the local police is under way.

Jarnail Singh @ Jelly is the main sharp shooter of Jitender @ Gogi gang, which had rivalry with another local gang being led by one Sunil @ Tillu of village Tajpur, Delhi. The rivalry between Gogi and Tillu gangs started in 2013 during the Student Union college elections of of Delhi University. Many killings and counter kills have been reported as fall out of this bloody gang rivalry. Jitender @ Gogi, is carrying a reward of Rs.2,00,000/- declared by the Commissioner of Police, Delhi. He escaped from the custody of Delhi Police in Bahadurgarh, Haryana, with the help of his gang members, when he was being taken to attend a court hearing in Haryana. Since, the escape of Jitender @ Gogithe gang has committed several heinous crimes.

  1. Case FIR No 102/2016 dt 03/03/2016 u/s 186/279/307/336/34 IPC & 25 Arms Act PS Samalkha, Haryana.
On 03.03.2016, he along with his associate Jitender @ Gogi fired several shots at Haryana Police personnel while they tried to stop their car for checking. Jitender @ Gogi was arrested at the spot but Jarnail Singh @ Jelly managed to flee. One revolver was recovered from Jitender @ Gogi’s possession and two country made pistols of .12 bore, 3 country made pistols of.32 bore, 5 country made rifles of.12 bore, 20 live and 4 empty cartridges were recovered from inside their Honda City car.  
  1. Case FIR No 60/2015 dt 20.01.15 u/s 302/34 IPC & 25/27 Arms Act PS Mahendra Park, Delhi
On 20.01.2015, he along with Jitender @ Gogi, KuldeepMaan @ Fazze and Yogesh @ Tunda fired on one Deepak @ Raju near Adarsh Nagar bus stand. The victim died in the attack. Accused KuldeepMaan @ Fazze, Yogesh @ Tunda and Jitender @ Gogi were arrested whereas Jarnail Singh @ Jelly evaded arrest. Later on Jitender @ Gogi also absconded from police custody. On 15.09.15, Jitender @ Gogi and JarnailSingh @ Jelly have been declared POby the Ld. ACMM, Rohini Court, Delhi. Recently Kuldeep @ Fazze has also jumped parole.  
  1. Case FIR No 401/2014 dt 27.04.14 u/s 307/34 IPC & 25/27 Arms Act PS Ali Pur, Delhi
On 27.04.14, on the direction of wanted criminal Jitender @ Gogi, he along with his associates Yogesh @ Tunda, MonuMaan, Gulshan Bhardwaj @ Gullu ,KuldeepMaan @ Fazze and Digvijay Saroha fired upon one Vikas @ Allo s/o Charan Singh r/o H. No 1187, BalmikiMohalla, Ali Pur, Delhi. The victim sustained gunshot injury on his leg. Jarnail Singh @ Jelly has successfully evaded arrest in this case. On 05.11.14, he was declared P.O. by Ms. Shilpi Jain, Ld ACMM, Delhi.
  1. Case FIR No 567/2013 dt 15.11.13 u/s 323/341/34 IPC PS Ali Pur, Delhi
On 14.11.13, he along with his associates Yogesh @ Tunda, MonuMaan, Gulshan Bhardwaj @ Gullu and KuldeepMaan @ Fazze assaulted one KunalMaan s/o Suresh Maan r/o H. No 1134A, Chotta Shiv Mandir, Ali Pur, Delhi with sticks.
  1. Case FIR No 85/2009  dt 27.03.09 u/s 324/341/34 IPC PS Ali Pur, Delhi.

On 26.03.09, he along with his associates Baljinder attacked one Paramjeet s/o Santa Singh r/o 128, Jhangola-II, Delhi with a knife to settle an earlier dispute. Both the accused persons were arrested in this case.

Two sophisticated pistols alongwith 9 cartridges recovered. A reward of Rs 50,000/- was declared by Delhi Police for his arrest. A team of Special Cell, Northern Range, led by Insp. Sanjay Nagpal, Inspr. Prabhat Kumar & Insp. Pankaj Kumar under the supervision of Shri Pankaj Sood, ACP has arrested sharp shooter of notorious and desperate gangster Naveen @ Khati namely  Sagar @ Punter, alongwith his associate Ravi @ Cheeru. Two pistols alongwith 9 cartridges were recovered from their possession.  A Bullet Motor-Cycle used by gangster has also been seized.
