THE FREAKY GANG OF AUTO LIFTERS-CUM-THIEVES BUSTED WITH THE ARREST OF TWO CRIMINALS NAMELY RAHUL @ JAGGI AND ANSHU@ ANSHUL BY THE STAFF OF AATS/SOUTH-WEST DISTRICT, NEW DELHI
  • ACCUSED RAHUL @ JAGGI AND ANSHU @ ANSHUL INTERCEPTED BY STAFF OF AATS/SWD AND ARRESTED.
  • ACCUSED INVOLVED IN SEVERAL INCIDENTS OF AUTO-LIFTING AND OTHER THEFTS.
  • STOLEN ARTICLES - TWO MOTOR CYCLES, ONE SCOOTY AND TWO SMART MOBILE PHONES RECOVERED FROM THEM.
The sleuths of AATS of South West District have arrested two criminals namely (1) Rahul @ Jaggi R/o Gali No. 1, Samsung wali gali, Near Ramphal Chowk, Sector-7, Dwarka, New Delhi, Age-19 (2) Anshu Kumar @ Anshul R/o Nanda Block, Mahavir Enclave-I, New Delhi, Age-23 years. The kingpin of the gang is Rahul @ Jaggi and his associate Anshu @ Anshul are fond of stylish clothes, good food and liquor parties. They stole two-wheelers and carried out thefts in the area to meet expenditures on lavish life styles. They used to visit pubs and clubs on different stolen motor-cycles to impress friends and female friends. The duo were alert while riding stolen motor cycles and had abandoned a few such stolen motor cycles on roads on finding vehicle checking ahead by police staff. They accused persons have disclosed their involvements in about one dozen cases of auto thefts and other thefts.
TEAM & OPERATION:
With the rising incidents of auto-thefts and other thefts in the area of South-West District, Insp. Raj Kumar in-charge AATS/SWD deployed a team of dedicated police officials of AATS/SWD to collect criminal intelligence and arrest accused persons.  The clandestine yet relentless efforts of the AATS staff revealed that a gang headed by Rahul @ Jaggi is active in the area. On 01/08/17, a secret information was received that the gang of auto lifters led by Rahul @ Jaggi with his associate will pass in front of MTNL office on Palam-Dabri Road on a stolen m/cycle 3788 at about 4:00 PM. Hence, under the leadership of Insp. Raj Kumar, a team comprising of ASI Roshan Lal, ASI Rajesh, HC Pratap, HC Vinod, HC Jitender, HC Vijay, Ct Manish, Ct Rajesh, Ct Jagat was formed. The information was developed and after verification a trap was laid near MTNL office on Palam-Dabri Road. At about 4:00 PM accused persons Rahul @ Jaggi with pillion rider his associate Anshu @ Anshul arrived there on M/cycle No. DL-4S-CQ-3788 Hero Passion.  At the instance of the secret informer both accused persons were apprehended. On verification the M/cycle Hero Passion No. DL-4S-CQ-3788 was found to be stolen vide Case e-FIR No. 00024173/17 dt. 31.07.17 u/s 379 IPC PS e-police station, Crime Branch (area of PS Dabri). Their personal search yielded two Smart Mobile Phones which were found to be stolen. On sustained interrogation the accused persons confessed to their involvement in about one dozen cases of auto theft and other theft. One more stolen motor cycle Hero Passion and Scooty Honda Activa were recovered from their hideout at their instance.  Following recoveries have been effected from accused persons :-

Two stolen smart Mobile phones.

(2) Anshu Kumar @ Anshul S/o Sh. Arun Kumar R/o RZC-3/117, Nanda Block, Mahavir Enclave-I, New Delhi, Age-23 years.

Two sophisticated pistols alongwith 9 cartridges recovered. A reward of Rs 50,000/- was declared by Delhi Police for his arrest. A team of Special Cell, Northern Range, led by Insp.
