Shoot Out in a Joint operation with dreaded criminal namely Shamim in District Muzaffarnagar of UP

• Shamim died in exchange of fire.
• He was a Hardcore Criminal wanted in many sensational daylight Armed Robberies/Dacoities in Delhi, UP & Uttrakhand.
• He was having a reward of Rs. 1 Lac upon his arrest.

During a Joint Operation , involving a team of Special Cell led by Insp. Shiv Kumar & supervised by ACP Attar Singh with SOG UP Police and Local Police of Police Station, Jansadh District Muzaffarnagar,  an exchange of fire took place with two criminals near village- Bhalwa, Distt.- Muzaffarnagar UP. In the Shoot Out one highly notorious & dreaded criminal namely Shamim died while his accomplice managed to flee in the cover of darkness. The brief details of the incident are as below:-

BRIEF FACTS, TEAM & OPERATION:- Deceased Shamim (age 30 years)  R/o village- Sisona, PS- Chhapar, Distt.- Muzaffarnagar, UP was trailed for last 1 month by the team of Insp. Shiv Kumar, Special Cell/SR under the supervision of Sh. Attar Singh, ACP/SR. In September 2016, Shamim along with his associates had committed a very sensational broad daylight robbery of Rs 40 lacs on gun point in the area of Police Station  Daryaganj, Delhi. He was  absconding in that case since then. A reward of Rs. 50,000/- was declared from Delhi Police. He was also having a reward of Rs. 50,000/- from UP Police in 2 criminal cases.  

Painstaking efforts of the team of Special cell yielded result when movements of Shamim and his associates were tracked in UP. A team was stationed in district Muzaffarnagar. On 30.12.2017, after getting information about the movement of accused Shamim & his associates to commit crime in the area of Jaansath, Muzaffarnagar UP, a team led by Insp. Shiv Kumar and consisting of SI Karambir Singh, SI Hardwari Lal, ASI Chandervir Singh, ASI Arvind Kumar, ASI Naresh Kumar, ASI Jaiveer Singh, ASI Anil Dhaka, HC Jugnu Tyagi, HC Vipin Tyagi and HC Sanjeev Kumar, under the supervision of Sh. Attar Singh, ACP/SR moved towards the place of information. Information was shared with the UP Police and a team of SOG UP Police and local police joined the operation. The joint team took positions at the place of information accordingly. At about 22:50 hrs during intervening night of 30th& 31st December 2017, accused Shamim along with one associate was spotted in a Swift car no. DL8CT 3192 near PP Bhalwa UP. Shamim & his associate were asked to surrender but Shamim & his associate opened fire on police teams. In self-defence police team also fired back. During the exchange of fire Insp. Shiv Kumar got hit on his bulletproof jacket and one Ct. Ashok Khari of SOG UP police was grievously injured in the exchange of fire. Accused Shamim and his associate were also injured in this exchange of fire, however associate of Shamim managed to escape under cover of darkness and accused Shamim was found injured in the car. One pistol of 9 mm bore, was found with him. Injured Ct. Ashok Khari and accused Shamim, were immediately taken to the hospital where Shamim was declared brought dead by the Doctor. Injured Ct. Ashok Khari is under treatment. Recovered car from accused persons has been found stolen from the area of Vijaynagar Ghaziabad, UP in December 2017.

A case bearing FIR no. 0841/2017 dated 31/12/2017 u/s 307/414 IPC, 25/27 Arms Act & 41/102 Cr.PC was registered at PS- Jansath, Distt.- Mujjafarnagar, UP in this regard.      

PROFILE OF ACCUSED PERSON :

Deceased accused Shamim was a notorious and highly desperate criminal. He had been indulging in criminal activities for the last 14 years. Initially he committed small thefts but, thereafter he made a gang and started committing Daylight Robberies/Dacoity etc. He was arrested for the first time in the year 2007 in 5 cases of Theft, Robbery, Arms Act, Attempt to murder . He was also booked in Gangster Act in the same year. After that he, along with his associates frequently indulged in committing heinous crime on gun point like board daylight robberies, dacoity, house breaking etc. He & his associates are so desperate that they never hesitated in opening fire on police personnel when confronted by police.

In the year 2006, he & his associates opened fire on SHO Manglor during an encounter with UP Police. Further in 2007, he & his associates opened fire on a Sub-Insp. Vinod Chauhan of Anti-Extortion Cell, Muzaffarnagar  UP during an encounter with a team of UP Police. In 2015, he along with his associates committed a violent house robbery on gun point in area of PS- Civil Lines Muzaffarnagar, UP and robbed Rs. 95000/-, two laptops, gold & silver Jewelry, seven ATM cards etc. Recently in 2017, he along with his associates committed dacoity in a house in PS- Purkaji area and cash Rs. 75,000/- & jewelry worth Rs. 1.50 lac were looted. Last year in September 2016, he along with his associates committed board daylight robbery on gun point in the area of PS- Darya Ganj Delhi and robbed Rs. 40 Lacs.
