“Robbery-cum-Murder case criminal carrying a reward of Rs. 50000/- arrested by STF Team of Crime Branch”

The criminal is wanted in a Sensational case of Robbery-cum- murder of a Business Man in PS Ashok Vihar and also wanted in FIR No. 395/17, U/S 308/324/341/427/506/34 IPC, PS Seema Puri, Delhi
  1. INTRODUCTION:-
           The team of STF Crime Branch, Sunlight Colony has arrested one wanted/ rewarded criminal namely Ravi Dedha, R/o Chuna Bhatti road, Shaheed Nagar, Sahibabad, U.P, age 20 Years, carrying a reward of Rs. 50000/- and he was also “wanted in a sensational Robbery-cum-murder case FIR No. 333/17, dated 22.08.2017, u/s 302/394/397/34 IPC & 25/27/54/59 Arms Act, PS Ashok Vihar, Distt. North West, Delhi and FIR No. 395/17, U/S 308/324/341/427/506/34 IPC, PS Seema Puri, Delhi.

  1. INFORMATION, OPERATION  AND ARREST:-
           On 22.08.2017 one Ashok R/o Ashok Vihar PH-II, North West, Delhi reported that he was present at his home when at about 8.15 PM, his younger brother namely Sanjeev having private business in Shastri Nagar came on his Scooty and parked in front of his house. All of a sudden four persons on two motorcycles came there and the pillion rider of the motorcycle snatched the bag carried by Sanjeev. On resistance, Sanjeev was shot by pistol and the robbers fled away from the spot and the victim having gunshot injuries was rushed to Sunder Lal Jain Hospital by the relatives where he was declared brought dead. In this regard, a case vide FIR No. 333/17, dated 22.08.2017, u/s 302/394/397/34 IPC & 25/27/54/59 Arms Act, PS Ashok Vihar, Distt. North West, Delhi was registered and search of unknown assailants was taken up. With the arrest of accused Sanjay Singh and Dalip Singh @ Godha the case was worked out and names of two more accused persons namely Rajesh @ Shankar and Ravi Dedha were revealed by the arrested accused persons. Accused Rajesh @ Shankar was also arrested later on, but the accused Ravi Dedha was evading his arrest since then.  A cash reward of Rs. 50000/- was declared on the arrest of accused Ravi Dedha by Commissioner of Police Delhi .
A team of Crime Branch under the close supervision of DCP, Crime Branch, Dr. G. Ramgopal Naik led by Sh. Pankaj Singh ACP STF Crime Branch and comprising of Insp. Jatan Singh, SI Sunil Kumar, SI Ashish Kumar HC Rohit Solanki, HC Virender Baliyan, HC Sanjiv Tomar, HC Sushil, Ct. Ravinder, Ct. Ramavtar and Ct. Ashish was constituted. The team visited the place of occurrence, met the complainant, and made enquiry in the locality of accused persons. Working on the available clues, the team visited several places in Delhi, Haryana and U.P.

             The team put all the available leads and movements of accused together and made several raids at different places. On 19.12.2017, the team received some specific tip off regarding the whereabouts of the above mentioned accused. Accordingly, a raid was planned and the team was rushed to MM Road, DLF, Ankur Vihar, Loni, Ghaziabad, U.P. The team spotted the said accused on MM road, DLF Ankur Vihar, who started running away on getting suspicious. The police team chased him and succeeded in the arrest of accused Ravi Dedha, R/o Chuna Bhatti road, Shaheed Nagar, Sahibabad, U.P, Delhi u/s 41.1 A Cr.P.C. as per the law.
            On preliminary interrogation, the arrested accused revealed that he ran away just after that incident. He also revealed his involvement in case FIR no. 395/17, u/s 308/324/341/427/506/34 IPC dated 25/06/2017 PS Seema Puri, Nort East Delhi in which he along with his goons beaten a toll Tax employee at Apsara Border Seemapuri, Delhi. He was hiding since then in different parts of UP and Delhi. He did not hide at any one place but kept on changing his location.
  1. PROFILE OF ACCUSED:-

The accused Ravi Dedha was born in Meerut, UP. He studied upto 5th standard and then came to Delhi. He failed in  10th standard and dropped out from School. The accused started working on Toll Tax at Apsara Border where he came in contact with bad elements. In June this year, the accused along with his goons brutally attacked a Toll Tax employee in the jurisdiction of PS Seema Puri, Delhi. He has been wanted in that case since then. In August this year a sensational Robbery-cum -murder was committed by the accused person with other three associates in the jurisdiction of PS Ashok Vihar, Delhi. In both the cases, he was evading his arrest and a cash reward of Rs. 50000/- was declared on his arrest.
