In a drive against criminals, PS Sangam Vihar arrested three desperate criminals

• One semi automatic pistol, one country made pistol with one live cartridge, two daggers, one sword, one Scooty and 3 iron / wooden sticks recovered.

The police team of PS Sangam Vihar, South District in a drive against criminals have arrested three desperate criminals namely Javed @ Tinku, age 22 years R/o Sangam Vihar, Sohan Jha, age 24 years R/o Tuglakabad Extension, New Delhi and Neeraj @ Sapola, age 25 years R/o Sangam Vihar and one semi automatic pistol, one country made pistol with one live cartridge, two daggers, one sword, one Scooty and 3 iron / wooden sticks were recovered from their possession.

Brief facts :

On the intervening night of 30/31.12.17, a quarrel occurred in C-Block, Sangam Vihar between one Rohit and Javed @ Tinku, both residents of C-Block, Sangam Vihar, in which due to beatings given by Javed @ Tinku, Rohit had sustained injuries. In this regard, a case vide FIR No. 680/2017 u/s 323/341/34 IPC was registered at PS Sangam Vihar and investigation was taken up.

Investigation :

During investigation on 01.01.18, secret information was received by SI Kamal, PS Sangam Vihar that Javed @ Tinku is planning to kill Rohit and for the same he is collecting weapons. The information was further developed which revealed that Javed @ Tinku would come at main Tigri Road on a white color scooty in the morning with illegal arms. On receipt of this information, a police team comprising SI Jitender Malik, SI Rohit Chahar, SI Kamal, ASI Krishan, Ct. Vikash and Ct. Vikram led by Inspr. Upender Singh, SHO/Sangam Vihar under the supervision of Sh. Raj Kumar Khatana, ACP/Ambedkar Nagar was formed.  A trap was laid and at about 8.45 pm, on the instance of secret source, the police team intercepted a boy riding on a white color scooty, who was identified as Javed @ Arsh @ Tinku r/o Sangam Vihar.  On search, one country made pistol with one live cartridge and one dagger was recovered from his possession. Accordingly, he was arrested in the above case and a separate case vide FIR No. 02/2018 u/s 25/54/59 Arms Act was registered at PS Sangam Vihar. During further investigation, one sharp edged sword, 3 iron / wooden sticks were also recovered on his instance from his house.

Similarly, in another operation on the intervening night of 01/02.01.18, two desperate criminals namely Sohan Jha r/o Tuglakabad Extension  New Delhi and Neeraj @ Sapola r/o Sangam Vihar were also arrested from G-400/12 Sangam Vihar.  On search, one semi automatic pistol and one dagger was recovered from their possession.  In this regard, a case vide FIR No. 04/2018 u/s 323/341/506/34 IPC & 25/27/54/59 Arms Act has been registered at PS Sangam Vihar and investigation was taken up.   

Interrogation :

During interrogation, it was revealed that both accused along with their associates duly equipped with illegal arms after assault on account of parking were going back to spot for revenge but intercepted by the police team. During interrogation, it was revealed that accused Javed @ Tinku is a habitual offender and previously involved in many criminal cases.

1. Javed @ Tinku, age 22 years R/o Sangam Vihar has studied up to 10th class.  He is married.  He is native of District Etah, UP.  He came in contact with the bad elements of the area, left schooling and joined them in crime. He is previously involved in following criminal cases:

1. Sohan Jha, age 24 years R/o Tuglakabad Extension, New Delhi has studied up to 10th class.  He is unmarried.  He has father, mother and one sister in his family.  He is native of District Shivan, Bihar.  He is a street vendor.

2. Neeraj @ Sapola, age 25 years R/o Sangam Vihar has studied up to 12th class.  He is married and has one son.  He has father, mother and two brother / sister in his family.

Recoveries :

1. One semi automatic pistol (.32 bore).
2. One country made pistol (3.15 bore) with one live cartridge.
3. Two daggers.
4. One sharp edged sword.
5. Three iron / wooden sticks.
6. One Scooty (make Activa).
