CRIMINAL INVOLVED IN SENSATIONAL DACOTY, CARRYING A REWARD OF RS. 75,000 ARRESTED BY SPECIAL CELL

On 13.09.2017, team of Inspector Chandrika Prashad, Insp. Amul Tyagi and Inspector Satish Rana, Special Cell, Lodhi Colony under the supervision of ACP Govind Sharma apprehended a proclaimed offender and rewarded criminal Pradeep Yadav, Aged- 31 years R/o Distt. Madubani, Bihar. The accused was wanted in a dacoity case registered vide FIR No.137/11 at PS. Maurya Encalve, Delhi. Pradeep Yadav was absconding since 2011 and was declared proclaimed offender by the trial court and he was carrying a reward of Rs. 75,000/- on his arrest declared by worthy Commissioner of Police, Delhi.
INCIDENT:
On 03.05.11 at about 3.30 PM Smt. Veena Manchanda R/O Vaishali, Pitam Pura, Delhi, aged 48yrs. was present alone in her house. Their servant Sanjay, aged about 19 yrs was also present in the house.  Sanjay was kept as a servant about one week ago through one Pradeep, who used to visit the house and had also provided the servants earlier. All of a sudden Sanjay entered in the bedroom with five accused, where Smt Veena Manchanda was present. They threatened her to keep quiet and not to raise alarm and tied her with a cloth. The accused identified by her include Ranjeet, Suraj, Umesh, Pradeep, Sanjay and a juvenile (name withheld). The servant Sanjay forcibly took the keys from the complainant Smt. Veena Manchanda and took out all the cash and jewellery lying in the almirah of two bedrooms. During this period Umesh had put a knife on her and threatened to kill her. As stated by the complainant the dacoits robbed cash Rs.13.25Lacs, jewellery worth 20/25 tolas, two laptops, one video camera, one mobile phone, silver & artificial jewellery and foreign currency. While they were fleeing after committing dacoity, they damaged the land line telephone also so as to avoid any call to the police.  On the statement of Smt. Veena Manchanda a case FIR No. 137/11 dt. 03.05.11 u/s 395/397 IPC was registered and investigation taken up by local police.

During investigation five accused persons namely 1. Sanjay Mukhiya R/o Madhubani Bihar, the servant, 2. Umesh Mukhiya R/o Madhubani, Bihar, 3. Ranjeet Kumar R/o Sahajahan Pur UP, 4.  Suraj Mukhiya R/o Madhubani Bihar and one Juvenile (name withheld) Bihar were apprehended, while the sixth accused Pradeep Yadav absconded and could not be apprehended. During the trial of the case he was declared as proclaimed offender on 20/09/11, by the court of Sh. Neeraj Gaur, MM, Rohini Court, Delhi. Later on, a reward of Rs. 75,000/- was also announced by worthy Commissioner of Police, Delhi on his arrest.

Operation
 A team of Special Cell/NDR, Lodhi Colony was working to trace Pradeep Yadav .Few days back inputs were received from sources about the rewarded criminal that he is presently hiding himself near Madhubani, Bihar and its adjoining areas. To develop this information further, a team of special Cell led by SI Amit Kumar comprising ASI Brijpal, ASI Rahul, ASI Gulab, HC Rakesh & Ct. Suresh under the supervision of Insp. Chandrika Prashad went to Madhubani. On 13/09/17, a specific input was received that accused Pradeep yadav will come to meet his associate near bus stand Madhubani, Bihar. This information was shared with local Police Station Madhubani. Acting upon this information, a trap was laid near bus stand Madhubani. On being identified by the source, accused was arrested u/s 41.1 (C) Cr.p.C and further investigation by the police is under way.
Criminal Profile of accused Pradeep Yadav
He was born in 1986 and brought up in his native village. He did his schooling from Madhubani, Bihar. He has studied up to 10th class. After that, he assisted his father in farming. In 2011, he along with his nephew Sanjay came to Delhi in search of a job where he started working as a laborer, while Sanjay got a job as a house servant in the area of Maurya  Enclave. After one and half month, he along with his other five other associates hatched a criminal conspiracy to rob the house of Sanjay’s employer. According to plan, they entered into the house with the help of Sanjay and committed the dacoity.
