An interstate co-ordination meeting aimed at strengthening cooperation and coordination in order to address various issues related to policing in Delhi & neighbouring states was held under the chairpersonship of CP/Delhi today at PHQ. CP/Delhi appreciated the cooperation extended by Border States in implementation of Hon’ble National Green Tribunal (NGT) orders to check pollution and traffic chaos. He further laid stress on the need to increase frequency of meetings like this, such that senior police officers across the State meet regularly and chalk out strategies for crime/criminal control having inter-state ramifications. EXTORTION OF RS. 50 LAKHS WAS DEMANDED FROM A RENOWNED BUSINESSMAN OF ROHINI IN A ‘FILMY STYLE’ ONE OF THEM WAS EX-EMPLOYEE OF THE BUSINESSMAN MOBILE USED IN COMMITTING CRIME RECOVERED The teams of Spl. Staff and PS Prashant Vihar of Rohini District solved the case of extortion within 24 hours by apprehending two extortionists namely Pravesh Kumar @ Praveen (31 years) and Aman (22 years) who demanded Rs. 50 lakhs as protection money in a ‘filmy style’ from a renowned businessman of Rohini.  Mobile used in committing the crime has been recovered. 60 ACTIVATED SIMS, 20 WALKIE TALKIE AND 11 MOBILE PHONES RECOVERED. With the arrest of 7 persons, local police have busted a gang that cheated gullible people by contacting them on mobile phones, indeed to obtain OTP message and then got various amounts transferred to their accounts. The gang was running call centre at Sagar Pur, South West Delhi. The gang used to operate by using mobile SIMs obtained on fake I.D. papers. BRIEF FACTS: On 18/11/17, on the basis of a secret information that a person will come at G.T. Road near SBI Bank to sell SIMs issued on fake IDs ,a team of local police of PS M.S. Park comprising of SI Arvind Kumar, H.C. Deepender, Ct. Rajiv laid a trap near SBI Bank at G.T. Road.
