The Delhi Police Northern Range organised a seminar on the subject 'Counselling of counsellors of Drug de addiction centres, a social initiative, at Pitampura District Police line Delhi. The objective of the seminar was to coordinate the efforts of stakeholders i.e Medical officers, Rehabilitate centres, consolers, Members (suffering from addiction) and Police for raising awareness among target groups against drug addiction. Prominent speakers from various fields including Dr. Sandhya Gupta, Psychiatrist  from AIIMS, were invited. Initiating the discussion, Smt. Sandhya Gupta dwelt at length as to how one gets addicted to alcohol and other drugs including medicines. She stressed that addiction being a biological diseases can be cured with the help of doctors through proper medication.
