3948 QUARTERS OF ILLICIT LIQUOR RECOVERED

  • RECOVERY OF TWO VEHICLES USED IN SUPPLY OF ILLICIT LIQUOR

In the wake of forthcoming General Elections to the Lok Sabha, special drive against illicit liquor has been launched in the West District, Delhi. In order to make the drive successful and effective, staff of the West District has been especially briefed to collect intelligence and take appropriate legal action under the Delhi Excise Act.
During this drive, staff of PS Moti Nagar and Vikas Puri has seized huge quantity of illicit liquor.
Incident 1
Total 2508 quarters Desi Masaledar & Episode Classic Whisky for sale in Haryana only & Car Used for supplying seized and one accused arrested
Profile of Accused Person:-
  1. Raj Kumar Giri R/o Vikas Nagar Uttam Nagar New Delhi age 22 years. He is having one previous involvement of Excise act.

Recovery
  1. 51 cartons of illicit liquor containing 2508 quarters
  2. Car Maruti Suzuki Sx4 VXI used in commission of offence.

Incident and Information
Team of P.S. Moti Nagar comprising SI Pramod Kumar,  ASI Vinod Kumar, HC Bhagat, HC Vinod, Ct. Parveen and Ct. Sunil under the leadership of SHO Moti Nagar Insp. Sandeep Kumar and overall supervision of ACP/Punjabi Bagh Sh. Kumar Abhishek was constituted to identify and arrest the notorious bootleggers involved in supply of illicit liquor. On 18.4.19, the team got an information regarding transit of Illicit Liquor from the area of PS Moti Nagar.  Accordingly, the said team started vehicle checking at Bali Nagar Red Light picket near Raja Garden Chowk, Main Najafgarh Road, Moti Nagar New Delhi. During checking, the team zeroed down one Maruti Suzuki SX4 car and signalled the driver to stop the vehicle. However, driver tried to fled off from the spot. The car was forced to stop at the picket and upon checking the car, total 51 cartons in which 2508 quarters, each containing 180 ML liquor / alcohol of Desi Masaledar & Episode Classic Whisky for sale in Haryanan only Liquor was recovered. The identity of the driver of the Car was revealed as Raj Kumar Giri r/o Vikas Nagar Uttam Nagar New Delhi. A case vide FIR No. 181/19, u/s 33/38/58 Delhi Excise Act, has been registered & investigation has been taken up. Accused Raj Kumar Giri is previously involved in a case of Delhi Excise Act of PS South Campus, South West District during the current year.
Incident 2

With the diligence of the officials of PS- Vikas Puri,  a notorious illegal liquor supplier has been arrested along with the recovery of a Ritz car containing 30 cartons of illegal liquor have been recovered.

PROFILE OF ACCUSED PERSONS:-
  1. Nakul Sehwag @ Virender r/o VPO- Chhudani, PS Bahadur Garh, Distt. Jhajjar, HR, age -23 yrs. Accused is having one previous involvement vide FIR No. 379/18, U/s 33 Delhi Excise Act, PS Sarai Rohilla, Delhi
Recovery
  1. A White Ritz Car
  2. 30 cartons of illicit liquor, total 1440 quarters of illicit liquor.
TEAM & OPERATION:-

On 17.4.19, a secret information regarding transport of illicit liquor a team comprising ASI- Radha Kishan, HC- Virender & Ct. Devi Lal was constituted to ensure  prevention & detection of crime, under the supervision of Sh. Madhukar Rakesh, SHO/VikasPuri & overall supervision of Sh. Rajender Bhatia ACP/Tilak Nagar. The team started vehicle checking opposite Aggarwal Sweets, C-Block, Vikas Puri, and apprehended one  Nakul Sehwag @ Virender R/o VPO – Chhudani, Distt. Jhajjar, HR, Age-23 along with a White Ritz Car containing 30 cartons of illegal liquor. On checking the total 1440 quarters of Haryana made illegal liquor, were recovered from the Ritz Car.

Two sophisticated pistols alongwith 9 cartridges recovered. A reward of Rs 50,000/- was declared by Delhi Police for his arrest. A team of Special Cell, Northern Range, led by Insp. Sanjay Nagpal, Inspr. Prabhat Kumar & Insp. Pankaj Kumar under the supervision of Shri Pankaj Sood, ACP has arrested sharp shooter of notorious and desperate gangster Naveen @ Khati namely  Sagar @ Punter, alongwith his associate Ravi @ Cheeru. Two pistols alongwith 9 cartridges were recovered from their possession.  A Bullet Motor-Cycle used by gangster has also been seized.
