GANG OF CHEATS BUSTED

  • ACCUSED CHEATED THROUGH INTERNET; USED GOODS MARKET PLACE  
  • ACCUSED HAD STRUCK ALL OVER THE COUNTRY.
  • TWO MOBILE PHONES AND ATM OF THE ALLEGED BANK ACCOUNT WERE RECOVERED FROM ACCUSED
   
Several Cheating offences on the basis of online used goods place market occurred in Delhi. To crack down these cases and to nab the gang members, teams of Crime Branch were also activated. Team of ISC/Crime Branch got success with the arrest of two notorious Cheats namely 1.) Aashish Kumar @ Vikash Verma @ Aashu R/o Distt- Meerut, U.P (Age- 28 Years) and 2.) Bhavjeet Singh @ Vicky @ Anti R/o Ghaziabad, U.P (Age- 31 Years). 02 mobile phones and 01 ATM card of alleged Bank Account has been recovered from them.  

INCIDENT ,TEAM AND OPERATION
                               With the arrest of two accused persons namely 1.) Aashish Kumar @ Vikash Verma @ Aashu (Age- 28 Years) and 2.) Bhavjeet Singh @ Vicky @ Anti (Age- 31 Years), Inter State Cell of Crime Branch has busted a gang of cheats, who were using online shopping portals  to cheat innocent and gullible persons.
A secret information was received at ISC, Crime Branch, Chanakyapuri to SI Sandeep Yadav that a gang is active in cheating innocent persons by offering them high-end cars at a very cheap/lucrative price. The gang members used to advertize very high-end cars like BMW, Toyota Fortune, Renault Duster, Skoda on shopping portals and keep the price exceptionally very low. For this purpose, they would simply pick the images of these vehicles randomly from internet and post them on the site. The buyers while scanning these sites would see the exceptionally low prices of these cars and would contact Ashish Kumar @ Vikas Verma, who was the mastermind of this gang. Ashish would further convince the buyer that the vehicle belongs to a person posted in a foreign embassy and since this person is posted outside, he urgently requires to sell this vehicle, for this purpose he had also forged the identity card of a personnel of Foreign Embassy and if the customer, so desired, he would post the image of that ID card, to convince the buyers to fall in this trap. Ashish further used to convey that since there are a large number of buyers of said vehicles, he needed urgent confirmation and token money to be paid in a Bank account. And for this purpose, he used the account of one accused Bhavjeet Singh, where the customer would ultimately deposit the advance payment. He further convinced the buyer that since the vehicle is lying in Embassy premises and he would not be able to show them this vehicle.
A case vide e-FIR No. SA-SA-000451/18 dated 04.04.2018 has been registered at P.S Saket, New Delhi in which one Karambir Sejwal has reportedly cheated an amount of Rs. 1.20 Lac. More offences are still being verified. Interrogation of the accused persons also revealed that Ashish Kumar has earlier contact with some foreign nationals. Further investigation is in progress.

  1. Accused Ashish Kumar @ Vikas Verma was born in Mawana, Meerut, U.P. He had studied upto11th class. After the demise of his father, he came to Delhi and started working as a waiter in events and functions. He came in contact with some cheats and therefore, he got the idea about cheating. He had cheated various persons all over the country.
  2. Accused Bhavjeet Singh @ Vicky @ Anti was born Model Town, Ghaziabad, U.P. He is B.Com graduate and had earlier worked in a ‘Call Centre’. He came in contact with Ashish who convinced him to work with him on commission basis. His account was used for the money transactions from buyers.
              

Accused persons have been arrested under appropriate sections of law. Local Police of concerned police stations has been informed accordingly.

Sagar @ Punter a sharp shooter of Naveen Khati Gang arrested

Two sophisticated pistols alongwith 9 cartridges recovered. A reward of Rs 50,000/- was declared by Delhi Police for his arrest. A team of Special Cell, Northern Range, led by Insp. Sanjay Nagpal, Inspr. Prabhat Kumar & Insp. Pankaj Kumar under the supervision of Shri Pankaj Sood, ACP has arrested sharp shooter of notorious and desperate gangster Naveen @ Khati namely  Sagar @ Punter, alongwith his associate Ravi @ Cheeru. Two pistols alongwith 9 cartridges were recovered from their possession.  A Bullet Motor-Cycle used by gangster has also been seized. A reward of Rs 50,000/- was declared by Delhi Police for his arrest. There is a long history of gang war in Najafgarh and adjoining areas.
