ACCUSED OF SENSATIONAL DOUBLE MURDER ARRESTED BY DWARKA DISTRICT, DELHI.

·        ACCUSED WAS INVOLVED IN DOUBLE MURDER OF PRINCIPAL AND HER BROTHER ON 05.03.18.

·        ACCUSED HOPED TO GET MARRIED WITH HIS GIRLFRIEND WITH THE MONEY PROMISED BY MAIN ACCUSED NAVEEN.

·        MURDER WAS RESULT OF A PROPERTY DISPUTE.

A Joint police team of Special Staff of Dwarka District, comprising of SI Naveen Kumar, SI Arvind, SI Ranjeev, SI Hari Singh, ASI Mahender, ASI Vinay Vats, HC Umesh, HC Rajkumar, Ct Praveen, Ct Sandeep, Ct Vipin, Ct Jitender and Sh. Prashant Choudhary (U/T ACP),  Inspr. Satish Kumar, Insp. Inv./Chhawla, SI Naresh Kumar, ASI Kirti Kumar, and HC Om Parkash, was constituted under the supervision of Sh. SP Tyagi, ACP/Operations/Dwarka & Sh. Ram Kumar Rathee ACP/Chhawla which arrested an accused person, who was involved in sensational double murder of a brother and sister on 05.03.18.

  

Incidents:  On 05.03.18, a PCR call was received at PS Chhawla regarding gunshot injury sustained by a woman in Village Ghummanhera, Najafgarh. Local police reached the spot and it was learnt that Smt. Anita Yadav W/O Sh. Ashok Kumar was taken to hospital with gunshot injury after an assault by one Naveen and his associates. She was declared as brought dead in the hospital. Her son was present at the spot and was lucky to escape the death as the pistol used by accused Naveen malfunctioned when he was fired upon by the accused.

                   Complainant Sh. Ashok Kumar got recorded his statement and alleged that his wife has been murdered by his neighbor Naveen with the help of his associates due to some property dispute over 6 Bigha land in Ghummanhera village. It was reported that deceased had purchased some land with wife of accused Naveen but the accused was pressurizing deceased to transfer the whole land to him without paying any money. Upon which this a case of murder was registered at PS Chhawla and investigaton was taken up.

           On 06.03.18, another information was received by PS Sadar Bahadurgarh regarding recovery of a dead body and the deceased was identified as Sh. Jaikishan S/O Dayaram R/o Dariyapur, New Delhi. This deceased was the brother of previous victim Smt. Anita Yadav. Complainant Mukesh Kumar of Village Dariyapur submitted a complaint to PS Sadar Bahadurgarh alleging that his cousin brother Jaikishan has been murdered by same Naveen Kumar alongwith his associates,  who had murdered Smt. Anita Yadav, due to land dispute. FIR No. 146/18 U/S 302/34/201 IPC was registered at PS Sadar Bahadurgarh on 06.03.18 regarding the murder.

Deceased in both above cases are siblings and the property/payment dispute over a land purchase triggered the murders.

Team and Operation:

               Taking note of daring murder of two persons within few hours, Special Staff/Dwarka had been assigned the task to arrest the criminals,  and  a dedicated team along with the staff of PS Chhawla was formed. Though one case was registered in Haryana, its obvious link with Delhi murder, on same day and on same motive, turned the entire matter into a sensitive one. Though the main accused was named, however, he had fled all known residences and all his other associates had also fled. All accused persons switched off their phones and went underground. Accordingly, many secret informers were deployed with specific briefings.  Several CCTV recordings were analysed and traps were also laid at several places during the drive.  Surveillance was put up at several places and several persons were interrogated. Team raided several places in Delhi, Rajasthan and UP to nab the culprits. As the suspects belong to Amethi/Raibareily/Unnao etc, several places in these districts were also raided. On 09.03.18 the efforts of the team yielded and one accused of the case Ranjeet was apprehended from Unnao. He confessed that he helped Naveen in murdering Jaikishan and Smt Anita Yadav as he was assured hefty sum for the job. Efforts are being made to arrest his other accomplices.

Interrogation:

          Accused Ranjeet is permanent resident of Distt- Unnao in East UP and was born there. He is 7th pass and his family came to Delhi about a year back for job and resides in Vill- Dera, Fatehpur, New Delhi. His father is a labour and started working as loader on dumpers. He also started working as driver and later started driving cabs. He has a girlfriend and wanted to get marry soon. His marriage was planned but scarcity of money was his main concern. About 7-8 months back, he came in contact with Sandeep, another accused in this case and also a taxi driver Sandeep offered him huge sum of money for carrying out or helping in murder of deceased. The offer came at a very opportune time as he was in need of money for his love marriage with his girlfriend. Sandeep introduced him to Naveen and he was offered one lakh rupees for the job which was a very good amount for him, so he readily agreed. About a week prior to the murders, he alongwith Sandeep came to Ghummanhera and started reccee etc. for the purpose with Naveen. On 05.03.18, they got the right opportunity and carried out the murders, one by one. After the offence each accused escaped to different locations. He was sure that he has not been identified by anyone so he reached his native village where he was arrested.
