DESPERATE ROBBER TARGETING WOMEN ARRESTED; ROBBED EAR RING RECOVERED .
The staff of Police Station Bindapur has solved 3 cases of robbery with the arrest of following accused persons:-
Mujibul @ Najibul @ Arman R/o Mohan Garden, Near Chandani Masjid, Delhi (aged 23 yrs.)
Sudhir Soni R/o Ramesh Nagar, West Delhi (age-19 yrs)
Robbed ear ring has been recovered.
INCIDENT:
On 13/02//18, a lady reported the police that while she was waiting for Auto Rickshaw Near Metro Pillar No.653 on main Najafgarh-Uttam Nagar road, a person, aged around 25-30 years, came from behind and robbed both of her ear rings. She sustained injuries in her ears due to forceful pulling of ear rings. She got treatment for the same. A case of robbery was registered in this regard and investigation was taken up.
In another incident of similar manner, a lady, age 54 yrs., stated that she came to purchase fruits in front of Uttam Nagar Terminal at about 2 Pm. When She was standing on divider between Metro Pillar No. 639 and 640, one person aged around 25-26 yrs. came from behind and robbed both of her ear rings and ran away towards Uttam Nagar Bus Terminal. She sustained injuries over both ears. In this regard a case was also registered and investigation was taken up.
INVESTIGATION:
Keeping in view of sensitivity and gravity of incidents, the police officials made sincere efforts to nab the accused person and different teams under the guidance of Sh. Vikram Singh, IPS, ACP/Dabri and under the supervision of Sh. Anil Berwal, SHO/Bindapur, comprising of SI Sudeep, ASI Suraj Bhan, ASI Hari Om, ASI Sanjay, HC Rajbir, HC Raj Singh, HC Rambir, HC Devidass, HC Surender, HC Dharambir, HC Ram Kishan, HC Rajesh, HC Anil, Ct. Jasbir, Ct. Vikas, Ct. Akhilesh, ASI Badhan, Ct. Sunil, HC Amarchand, HC Narender, Ct Dheeraj, Ct Brijesh and Ct. Sunil were constituted. Some of police personnel were deployed in plain clothes around East Uttam Nagar Metro Station and Uttam Nagar Bus Terminal. Ruuffians/ Bad Characters/previously arrested criminals and recent jail bail release were interrogated. CCTV Footages of the entire area around the Uttam Nagar Terminal and the adjoining area pertaining to the time of offence were analysed.
The efforts of the teams yielded the results and blurred images of a boy running in opposite direction of first incident were obtained. Team got an idea about clothes worn by the accused. The images were further developed to obtain idea about his face and body language. Sources were deployed in the area of PS Uttam Nagar, Vikas Puri, Janak Puri, Ranholla and Bindapur. HC Surender & Ct Jasbir received secret information that the accused person who committed both these robberies will come near the Uttam Nagar East Metro Station/Terminal. Thereafter, they reached near Uttam Nagar East Metro Station and apprehended a person at the instance of secret informer. Later on, he was identified as Mujibul @ Najibul @ Arman R/o Mohan Garden, Near Chandani Masjid, Delhi. He was subjected to interrogation. Initially, he tried to mislead by saying that he is working in a factory of garment stitching and was present there at the time of incidents. The same was verified and found incorrect. On sustained interrogation, he disclosed the commission of above crimes. He also disclosed regarding the commission of a third similar incident in the area of PS Vikaspuri on 16/02/18. On his pointing out, his clothes and shoes worn at the time of incident and captured in CCTV footage have been recovered. An ear ring has also been recovered. He also disclosed that he has sold the remaining ear rings to a jeweller namely Sudhir Soni R/o Ramesh Nagar, West Delhi, having a shop in Difference Colony, Mohan Garden, Uttam Nagar. Subsequently, the jeweller was interrogated and he confessed his involvement. He has also been arrested and efforts are being made to recover the case property.
PROFILE OF ACCUSED PERSONS:
Mujibul @ Najibul @ Arman R/o Mohan Garden, Near Chandani Masjid , Delhi (aged 23 yrs.). He is illiterate, unmarried and is a drug addict and worked as a part time welder. To meet his financial needs to buy Ganja/Narcotic Substance, he started committing crime.
Sudhir Soni R/o Ramesh Nagar, West Delhi (aged 19 yrs.) He runs a shop Difference Colony, Mohan Garden, Uttam Nagar and is unmarried. He buys/receives robbed/snatched golden articles. He started the business since last one month.
Further investigation of the case is going on and efforts are being made to recover more case property and to ascertain their involvements in other cases.
