A GANG OF DACOITS WHO TARGET HOUSES/MANSIONS IN POSH COLONIES BUSTED BY IGIS/DWARKA

The gang has a unique Modus Operandi wherein they send one of their members to first work as a domestic help in the house they target.
One sophisticated pistol, two magazines, 5 cartridges and robbed article recovered.
Five Members of the Gang including the Mastermind/Gang Leader Arrested.
Sensational daylight armed robbery in posh colony of East of Kailash, Amar Colony solved.
INTRODUCTION
The IGIS, Crime Branch has busted a major gang of dacoits and arrested 5 members of the gang including gang leader from Dwarka area following recovery of one sophisticated pistol of 7.65 bore, two magazines, 5 live cartridges and a robbed camera from their possession.
In a sensational disclosure they have said that they adopt a distinctive Modus Operandi in which they get one of the gang members, preferably a younger looking person, to work as a domestic help in big houses/mansions in posh colonies of South and South-east Delhi. This person then gathers information about the cash and valuables kept inside the house and on the day of the planned incident, he also facilitates a friendly entry to other gang members. A sensational daylight robbery case of PS Amar Colony has been solved with the arrest of accused persons in which cash Rs. 60,000/-, gold/silver jewelry/coins, electronic articles & mobile phone were robbed by them from a house in posh colony of East of Kailash. The names and addresses of the arrested accused persons are as under: -
Digambar Mandal (Aged 35 years) r/o District Madhubani, Bihar.
Mohd. Jahangir (Aged 37 years) r/o District Madhubani, Bihar.
Rajesh @ Rakesh (Aged 22 years) r/o District Madhubani, Bihar.
Vasi-ul @ Vasiyat (Aged 39 years) r/o District Darbangha, Bihar.
Zulfikar Ansari @ Rehan (Aged 27 years) r/o Patna, Bihar.  
INFORMATION, TEAM & OPERATION
On the basis of secret information received by ASI Govind Singh and HC Dharmender a team of IGIS, Crime Branch, Dwarka under supervision of ACP Aditya Gautam led by Insp. Yashpal Singh comprising SI Lokesh, ASI Govind Singh, ASI Randhawa, ASI Bhoop Singh, HC Dharmender, Ct. Ravinder Singh, Ct. Rahul Kumar, Ct. Badri Prasad and Ct. Kuldeep under overall supervision of DCP, Crime Branch, Sh. Bhisham Singh arrested the accused persons Digambar Mandal, Mohd. Jahangir and Rajesh @ Rakesh near Radha Swami Satsang Vyas, Sector-23, Dwarka on the afternoon of 11.02.2018. Later in the evening, on the instance of accused persons, other two accused Vasi-ul @ Vasiyat and Zulfikar Ansari @ Rehan were also arrested by Crime Branch team from Sector-23 Dwarka area following recovery of one sophisticated pistol of 7.65 bore, 2 magazines and 5 live cartridges from their possession.
INTERROGATION, DISCLOSURE & PROFILE
All the accused persons belong to lower middle class families of Bihar. The accused Digambar Mandal, the mastermind and gang leader came to Delhi about 9-10 years ago in search of a livelihood and started working as a driver. In the year 2015, he was first arrested by Crime Branch in a Rs. 7 lakhs robbery case of PS Naraina and remained in jail for about one year. In jail, he came in contact with other desperate criminals and they decided to join hands in committing robberies in bungalows of posh colonies after coming out of prison. In order to execute his plan, he started working as a driver in posh colonies of South Delhi to identify wealthy families. He planned to rope in Mohd. Jahangir and Rakesh@Rajesh as both were known to him from Madhubani, Bihar.  
The accused Vasi-ul @ Vasiyat owns a grocery shop in Darbhanga, Bihar and is previously involved in some cases of robbery/dacoity in Bihar.
The accused Zulfikar Ansari @ Rehan is running a footwear vend in Patna, Bihar. His younger brother is working as a tailor in Delhi, so he often used to visit Delhi. The accused Zulfikar is previously involved in a murder case in Bihar. In jail, he came in contact with Vasiul @ Vasiyat.
In 2017, they all planned a big loot in a bungalow in a posh colony of South Delhi and got employed their associate Raman as a servant in the house of Shri Nitin Gururaj Bhardwaj r/o East of Kailash. On 16.11.2018, as per plan the arrested accused persons along with their other associates committed armed robbery in this house which was facilitated by Raman who was already working there as a domestic help and knew where the family kept cash and other valuables. The accused persons robbed away cash Rs. 60,000/-, gold/silver ornaments/coins, electronic articles and mobile phone after thrashing wife of Shri Nitin Bhardwaj. A case of robbery is registered at PS Amar Colony in this regard. The accused persons were further planning another loot in a posh colony in NCR and were identifying their target.
Concerned authorities have been informed regarding arrest of the accused persons. Raids are being conducted to nab remaining absconding members of the gang including the domestic help Raman. Investigation of the case is in progress.
