A DESPERATE INTERSTATE GANGSTER & ASSOCIATE OF MUKIM KALA GANG NAMELY MUNSHAD @ AASHU @ PEHALWAN @ FARUKH, ARRESTED FOLLOWING A BRIEF EXCHANGE OF FIRE
- WANTED IN MAINPURI JAIL BREAK WHICH HAPPENED IN MARCH 2017
- INVOLVED IN KILLING OF TWO BUSINESSMEN IN 2014 IN KAIRANA.
- PREVIOUSLY INVOLVED IN MORE THAN 20 HENIOUS CASES OF MURDER, ATTEMPT TO MURDER, EXTORTION, ROBBERY, DACOITY, ROITING IN UTTAR PARDESH AND OTHER STATES
- CASH REWARD OF RS. 15,000/- WAS DECLARED ON HIS ARREST BY UTTAR PRADESH POLICE
- ONE SOPHISTICATED PISTOL ALONG WITH THREE LIVE CARTRIDGES RECOVERED
A team of Inter State Cell, Crime Branch has arrested an interstate gangster and close associate of desperate Mukim Kala gang namely Munshad @ Ashu @ Pehlwan @ Farukh (Age-27 Yrs) S/o Shahdin R/o Village Khandrawali, PS Kandhala, Distt Shamali, (U.P) following a brief exchange of fire resulting in minor injuries to accused and one police personnel. He along with co-inmates had escaped from Mainpuri Jail after scaling the boundary wall of the jail in March 2017. He was previously involved in more than 20 criminal cases of murder, attempt to murder, robbery, dacoity & rioting in several states. Cash reward of Rs. 15000/- was declared on his arrest by U.P. police. One sophisticated pistol along with three live cartridges have been recovered from his possession.
BACKGROUND
Accused Munshad @ Ashu @ Pehlwan @ Farukh along with his co-inmates Yogesh @ Karu, Sunil Kumar, Rajender Singh @ Rawat escaped from Mainpuri Jail after scaling the boundary wall of the jail with the help of Iron Rod (Saria) and Gamcha. A case vide FIR No. 331/17 dated 13.03.2017 u/s 224 IPC PS Kotwal Distt- Mainpuri (U.P) was registered in this regard. A cash reward of Rs. 15,000/- was also declared on his arrest by U.P Police in the said case.
INFORMATION:-
A team of officers of Inter State Cell, Crime Branch had information that some criminals of Western Uttar Pradesh belonging to desperate Mukim Kala gang are hiding themselves in the area of trans Yamuna, Delhi and they are involved in cases of murder and robbery. The officers of ISC, Crime Branch developed information regarding the above said gang and kept strict vigil over the movements of suspicious persons. On 29.08.2017, a specific information was received that the members of Mukim Kala Gang namely Munshad @ Aashu, Parvej & Samir Chotu who were hiding themselves in trans Yamuna area and were involved in several heinous crimes would be gathering near Jama Masjid area. They would be equipped with heavy arms and ammunition for committing some serious offence in the area.
TEAM AND OPERATION :-
On the basis of secret information, a team led by Insp. Neeraj Chaudhary consisting SI Mandeep, ASIs Satish Kumar, Gulab Singh, Jai Prakash HCs Sanjeev Kumar, Dinesh Singh, Rakesh, Cts. Parvinder, Prashant, Naveen & Ct. Prahlad of local police (in uniform) was constituted under the supervision of ACP/Crime Sanjay Sehrawat and a trap was laid near RCC Meena Bazar Road, Jama Masjid. Keeping in view the sensitivity of the area local beat constable Prahlad of Jama Masjid Police Station was also taken along the raiding team. At about 07.40 PM, at the instance of secret informer the team marked out the movement of three suspect persons in between the public gathering coming from RCC Meena Bazar Road side to Jama Masjid Road, Delhi. All the three persons were intercepted and asked to reveal their identity, on which all of them panicked and one of them later identified as Munshad whipped out his pistol and fired at Ct Parvinder and Ct Prashant who were trying to overpower him to deter him from escaping. Both the constables however managed to pull themselves away from the line of firing. After firing, the above-said persons ran towards the market. The team members immediately pursued them and chased all the alleged persons, during chase one person tried to fire on Police team near Jama Maszid Metro Station, Gate No 2, but Ct Prashant, Ct Parvinder & Constable Prahlad of local police in quick action overpowered him and apprehended the alleged person with the loaded Pistol. HC Sanjeev also fired in air from his service weapon to deter the alleged persons from further firing in public. The other 2 associates of the alleged managed to flee from the spot taking benefit of heavy public gathering. The identity of the apprehended person was revealed as Munshad @ Ashu @ Pehlwan S/o Shahdin R/o Village Khandrawali, PS Kandhala, Distt Shamali, U.P. Age 27 Yrs. One Sophisticated Pistol AUTOMATIC PISTOL MADE IN U.S.A, having 03 live cartridges was recovered from the possession of alleged Munshad @ Ashu @ Pehalwan @ Faruqh. During the whole incident Ct Parshant also sustained injuries. A case vide FIR NO 144/17 Dated 29.08.2017 U/S 186/353/332/307 IPC & 25/27/54/59 Arms Act PS Crime Branch, Delhi was registered in this regard.
INTERROGATION:-
Accused Munshad @ Aashu @ Pehalwan @ Farukh disclosed that he is an active member of desperate Mukim Kala Gang. The gang mainly operates in NCR region in Uttar Pradesh & Haryana and has specially in robbing well known jewelers of the area.
In 2014, he along with his gang members killed two businessmen of Kairana (U.P) and after that they started extorting money from businessmen of Kairana.
In 2017, he alongwith his co-inmates of Mainpuri Jail Yogesh @ Karu, Sunil Kumar, Rajender Singh @ Rawat escaped from Mainpuri Jail after scaling boundary wall with the help of Iron Rod (Saria) and GamcHha.
Since his escape from Mainpuri Jail, he was hiding in Shakurpur area of Delhi alongwith his associates Parvej and Samir Chottu in the house of one Ayub. He was trying to constitute a gang in Delhi and was planning to commit a big robbery in Delhi. Role of Ayub is also being verified.
PROFILE
Munshad @ Aashu @ Pehalwan @ Farukh has studied upto BA-1st Year. His father has a grocery shop in his village Khandrawali. He also worked on grocery shop along with his father but he wanted to earn quick money to live a lavish life. So, he along with Saadar started committing armed robberies. In 2011, he was arrested from PS Sadar Bazar, Saharanpur, UP in an Extortion case. During this period, he came in touch with Mukim Kala and Sabir and after his release he became the active member of Mukim Kala Gang and was involved in several incidents of robberies, dacoities, murders, extortions in Delhi, Haryana and UP.
