DREADED GANGESTER INVOLVED IN CASES OF MURDER, ATTEMPT TO MURDER, ARMS ACT AND ORGANIZED EXTORTION ARRESTED

District Anti Robbery Cell, NWD has nabbed a desperate extortionist namely Harsimran @ Badal @ Simran s/o Harvinder Singh r/o BK-1/103-A, East Shalimar Bagh, Delhi, who is gang leader of Harsimran @ Badal Gang and carrying reward of Rs. 20000/-. He is a dreaded criminal of PS Shalimar Bagh and is involved in total 15 cases including two murders at PS Burari & Mandir Marg. He was wanted in many cases of Extortion etc. With his arrest four cases of Extortion and Arms Act of North West Distt have been worked out. There was continuous threat for the life and liberty to many people from him. As per threat assessment round the clock PSO was given by Delhi Police to the complainant.

At the instance of Harsimran, his gang members used to fire upon persons who didn’t concede to his extortion demands. Even while being in jail, such attacks were carried out. It is noteworthy that there was a fear psychosis in the minds of the complainants including property dealers & builders because of his acts. While inside Jail, he even picked up a fight with Indian Mujahideen member to establish his hegemony inside jail also. His two associates were previously arrested by Crime Branch.
  
DETAILS OF INCIDENTS
 
The complainants stated that one Harsimran @ Badal, arrested in case FIR No. 386/16 dated 02.06.16 u/s 387 IPC PS Shalimar Bagh, Delhi for demand of extortion of Rs. 5 Lakh from both of them, while in jail he made plan of firing upon the complainant but because of his mobile phone interception by Spl Cell his planning was disclosed and he along with his associate namely Vasant Verma @ Nishu were arrested in case FIR No. 0035/2016, dated 13/06/2016, u/s 120B IPC, PS Special Cell, Delhi. Despite this he succeeded in executing his plan through his gang members, who fired at the parked car of one of the complainant to terrorize him so as to make the complainant compromise the matter and accordingly a new case vide FIR No.412/16 u/s 427/34 IPC r/w 25/27 Arms Act, PS-Shalimar Bagh, Delhi was also registered against him.
After release from jail, on 16.09.2016, in broad day light, Harsimran @ Badal along with 10-12 goons visited the premises of both complainants in case FIR No. 386/16 PS Shalimar Bagh, Delhi and tried to ransack the house & shop of the complainants. He along with his goons created chaos, terrorized the families, extended threats to kill for daring to file case against him. He demanded Rs. 10 lakh and 7 lakh from the complainants respectively. For these two cases u/s 451/387/34 IPC were registered at PS Shalimar Bagh, Delhi. He has been absconding from the day of incident and was a terror for the people of the area. All efforts were being made for his arrest but he evaded being caught. Accordingly, a reward of Rs. 20,000/- was declared by the CP Delhi.
POLICE TEAM & OPERATION:
A team of District Anti Robbery Cell, NWD comprising of SI Rakesh Duhan, HC Abdul Latif, HC Parveen, HC Harsikandar, HC V. Suresh, HC Ramesh, HC Sanjay, Ct Mukesh, Ct Naveen, Ct Naveen Duhan, Ct Darvesh and Ct Rajinder under close supervision of Sh. Vikas Kumar, ACP/Ashok Vihar was constituted to arrest the wanted gangster. The team so constituted, while working on this matter, collected information through all possible sources and started tracking his movements. For his apprehension a number of suspected hideouts in Delhi were raided. However, police officials kept on tracking his movements regularly. Finally on 08/02/2016, the team received specific information regarding presence of wanted accused Harsimran @ Badal @ Simran in Shalimar Bagh area. Accordingly, a trap was laid near the place of information and accused Harsimran @ Badal @ Simran was apprehended. He has been arrested u/s 41.1 (b)(i) CrPC and IOs of concerned Police Stations have also been informed, who have initiated further proceedings at their end.

Sagar @ Punter a sharp shooter of Naveen Khati Gang arrested

Two sophisticated pistols alongwith 9 cartridges recovered. A reward of Rs 50,000/- was declared by Delhi Police for his arrest. A team of Special Cell, Northern Range, led by Insp. Sanjay Nagpal, Inspr. Prabhat Kumar & Insp. Pankaj Kumar under the supervision of Shri Pankaj Sood, ACP has arrested sharp shooter of notorious and desperate gangster Naveen @ Khati namely  Sagar @ Punter, alongwith his associate Ravi @ Cheeru. Two pistols alongwith 9 cartridges were recovered from their possession.  A Bullet Motor-Cycle used by gangster has also been seized. A reward of Rs 50,000/- was declared by Delhi Police for his arrest. There is a long history of gang war in Najafgarh and adjoining areas.
