FUGITIVE CRIMINAL ASHISH TOMAR ARRESTED
- PROCEEDINGS U/S 82/83 CRPC INITIATED AGAINST ACCUSED BY LEARNED COURT IN A MURDER CASE OF PS UTTAM NAGAR.
- ACCUSED WAS RUNNING A LAND GRABBING RACKET IN WEST AND SOUTH-WEST DISTRICTS OF DELHI.
- HE IS AN ACTIVE MEMBER OF MANJEET MAHAL GANG, PRESENTLY CONFINED IN JAIL.
- ONE PISTOL AND TWO LIVE CARTRIDGES RECOVERED FROM THE POSSESION OF ACCUSED.
- ANOTHER FEATHER IN CAP OF ASI RANDHAWA, WHO HAS CONSISTENTLY PERFORMED HAVING A LONG LIST OF ACHIEVEMENTS TO HIS CREDIT
INTRODUCTION: - Crime Branch has arrested a fugitive criminal Ashish Tomar @ Ashu Tomar (29 yrs) s/o Narender Tomar r/o E-47, Nawada Housing complex, Kakrola More Uttam Nagar, Delhi on 12 Jan 2017, who was absconding in a day light sensational murder of PS Uttam Nagar. One automatic pistol loaded with 2 live cartridges have been recovered from the possession of the accused. The accused is previously involved in several criminal cases and is an active member of desperate ‘Manjeet Mahal’ gang, active in West and South-West Districts of Delhi.
INFORMATION, TEAM & OPERATION: -
Secret information was received by ASI Randhawa that a desperate criminal Ashish Tomar @ Ashu Tomar, who is wanted in a sensational day light murder, would come near Metro Station Sec. 14, Dwarka to meet his aides. This information was further developed and a team led by ACP Jasbir Singh, consisting of Insp. Yashpal, ASIs Mahesh Tyagi, Randhawa, HC Ramkumar, Rajeev Sahrawat, Cts. Badri Prasad, Ravinder and Rahul was constituted under the supervision of DCP Bhisham Singh and under overall guidance of Addl.CP KK Vyas to nab the criminal.
Accordingly, a trap was laid near the expected place of his arrival and accused Ashish Tomar @ Ashu Tomar was successfully apprehended. On personal search of the accused, an automatic illegal pistol of 7.65 bore alongwith two live cartridges was also recovered from his possession. A case under appropriate section of law was registered against the accused and he was arrested in the case.
INTERROGATION & PROFILE: -
Accused Ashish Tomar @ Ashu disclosed that he originally hails from Baghpat, Uttar Pradesh and presently residing at H.No. E-47, Nawada Housing Complex, Kakrola More, Uttam Nagar, Delhi. He solemnized love marriage with Anju Gupta. His wife is sitting councillor of MCD from Uttam Nagar area. He had joined the notorious gang of Manjit Mahal to earn easy money and influence in the area and started committing crime. He is a close associate of dreaded criminal Nafe Singh @ Mantri of Majeet Mahal gang. He alongwith his associates namely Punit, Praveen, Henry, Sushil and Sombir was running a racket of land grabbing in the garb of business of property dealing.
Accused Ashish Tomar further disclosed that he alongwith his gang members namely Punit, Praveen, Henry, Sushil and Sombir @ Filmi hatched a conspiracy and committed the murder of a property dealer namely Bijender in a property dispute. On 08.11.2016 Punit Yadav and Sombir @ Sonu @ Filmi ambushed Bijender near his house. As the victim left his house, they chased him and shot him dead. Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 795/16, u/s 302 IPC PS Uttam Nagar was registered. Later on, accused Punit Yadav was arrested by Crime Branch in the month of November 2016. Accused Punit Yadav disclosed that the he had handed over the weapon used in the murder of Bijender to Ashish Tomar. Since then, he was evading his arrest.
