A CARTEL OF ILLEGAL ARMS BUSTED AFTER A BRIEF ENCOUNTER IN DWARKA DISTRICT. THREE PISTOLS WITH LIVE ROUNDS, HYUNDAI VERNA CAR RECOVERED AND THREE CONDUITS ARRESTED BY THE STAFF OF AATS /DWARKA DISTRICT
  • ARMS SUPPLIERS – AMAN BHARDWAJ AND VISHAL GAHLOT WERE ARRESTED FROM DWARKA WHILE ANKUR CHAUDHARY, WAS ARRESTED FROM GHAZIABAD BY THE STAFF OF AATS/DWARKA DISTRICT.  
  • ON RECEIVING A TIP ABOUT ARMS SUPPLIERS COMING IN VERNA CAR NEAR DDA PARK, SECTOR-11, DWARKA, SLEUTHS OF AATS/DWD LAID A TRAP AT THE SPOT. AS THE CAR STOPPED ON SERVICE ROAD OF DDA PARK, IT WAS QUICKLY SURROUNDED BY THE POLICE TEAM. SENSING CORNERED BY THE POLICE, AMAN WIPED OUT A PISTOL TO FIRE AT POLICE STAFF. AFTER A BRIEF SCUFFLE BETWEEN SLEUTHS AND THE TWO OCCUPANTS OF THE CAR, DUO WERE OVERPOWERED BY THE SLEUTHS.  
  • ONE LOADED PISTOL WAS RECOVERED FROM AMAN WHILE SEARCH OF VISHAL, WHO WAS IN DRIVER’S SEAT, YIELDED ONE MORE LOADED PISTOL.  HYUNDAI VERNA CAR WAS ALSO SEIZED.

  • DURING POLICE CUSTODY REMAND ACCUSED AMAN AND VISHAL LED POLICE TO GHAZIABAD (UP) FROM WHERE ANKUR CHAUDHARY, WHO SUPPLIED THEM ARMS FOR SELLING TO CRIMINALS IN NAJAFGARH / UTTAM NAGAR AREA WAS ARRESTED.
  • ONE LOADED PISTOL WITH LIVE ROUNDS OF 7.65” WERE RECOVERED FROM HIM.
INTRODUCTION:

The alert sleuths of AATS/DWD have busted a cartel of illegal arms with the arrest of arms suppliers (i) Aman Bhardwaj @ Moni R/o New Roshan Pura, Najafgarh, Delhi, age-25 yrs (ii) Vishal Gahlot R/o Nawada Village, Najafgarh Road, Uttam Nagar, Delhi, age-28 yrs and (iii) Ankur Chaudhary R/o Dist-Aligarh, age-22 yrs. Three Pistols, several live cartridges of 7.65” and one Hyundai Verna Car have been recovered from accused persons. Ankur Chaudhary procured arms/ammunitions from Aligarh (UP) and supplied them to Aman @ Moni and Vishal Gahlot, residents of Najafgarh and Uttam Nagar. These arms were sold to criminals of Najafgarh and Uttam Nagar by Aman @ Moni and Vishal Gahlot with good profit.
INFORMATION,TEAM AND OPERATION:

On 29.11.18, secret information was received that two arms suppliers Aman and Vishal will be coming in white colour Verna car No. 3203 near DDA Park, Sector-11, Dwarka, New Delhi between 6:00 pm to 6:30 pm for meeting somebody. Acting  swiftly, a team of dedicated police officers led by Inspr. Raj Kumar, in-charge AATS/DWD, comprising SI Dharmendra, ASI Sanjay Kumar, ASI Randhir Singh, HC Vinod Kumar, HC Jitender, Ct. Manish, Ct Rohitash, Ct. Manoj, Ct.Jagat, Ct. Vinod, Ct. Amit Kumar and Ct Rajbirswung into action under the close supervision of Sh. Sunder Singh, ACP Operations, DwarkaDistrict. Without wasting any time, a trap was laid near the spot.
At about 06:15 PM,one white colour Hyundai Verna Car No. DL-1CX-XXXX came from the direction Kargil Chowk and stopped on service road of DDA Park, Sector-11, Dwarka. On receiving pre-determined signal from the informer, the police team immediately surrounded the car. Sensing cornered by the police, the person occupying front left seat of car, wiped out a Pistol pointing at HC Vinod and Ct Manish. However, in a flash HC Vinod and Ct Manish pounced on him and a scuffle ensued between them. Soon, they managed to snatch the pistol from Aman. Meanwhile other staff swooped upon Vishal, who was in driver’s seat both were overpowered.

02 loaded illegal Pistols were recovered from their possession. A case FIR No. 454/18 dt. 29.011.18 u/s 25/27Arms Act was registered at P.S. Dwarka South, New Delhi. Both accused were arrested and produced in court. During three days PC remand, they led police to the where about of arms supplier Ankur Chaudhary in Ghazibad. One more loaded Pistol was recovered from Ankur Chaudhary. Investigation is in progress.

INTERROGATION:
Accused Aman Bhardwaj @ Moni is unemployed. His father owns a vehicle repairing shop in Najafgarh. He came in contact with Vishal Gahlot who came to his shop for repair of his Verna car. Vishal Gahlot was in friendship with Ankur Chaudhary who stayed in a rented accommodation as a tenant at Dwarka Morh where he attended coaching class for preparing for competitive examination. Ankur Chaudhary appeared in many competitive examinations but could not clear anyone.
Aman, Vishal and Ankur often used to meet at Ankur’s rented accommodation where they consumed liquor and idled. Ankur, who hails from Aligarh (UP), proposed to Aman and Vishal that he knows many persons in Aligarh who are in the trade of illegal arms. They can earn handsome profit by selling arms to criminals of Najafgarh and Uttam Nagar. Ankur then shifted to Ghaziabad and enrolled in Bharat Academy at Pratap Vihar, Ghaziabad on the pretext of preparing for competitive examination. But the main purpose of his stay in Ghaziabad was that it facilitated his contacts with arms suppliers of Aligarh as revealed by him.

  3. Hyundai Verna Car DL-1CX-3203.

Two sophisticated pistols alongwith 9 cartridges recovered. A reward of Rs 50,000/- was declared by Delhi Police for his arrest. A team of Special Cell, Northern Range, led by Insp.
