PROFESSIONAL CHEATS & PICK POCKETER ACTIVE IN DELHI METRO CAUGHT BY SPECIAL STAFF OF DELHI METRO

Delhi Police of Metro Unit has arrested the accused person namely Mohd.Salman R/o JJ colony Bawana Delhi, Age-23 yrs. for the offence committed in Metro vide E- FIR No. 41/18, dated 07/06/2018, U/s 420/379/411/34 IPC of Police Station-Azadpur Metro, Delhi.
 
INCIDENT & INVESTIGATION
The incident had occurred on 06/06/2018, when the complainant was boarding metro train at Azadpur metro station. The complainant reported that two unknown persons had cheated him &  stolen his bag containing clothes, one mobile phone-redime 5A gold colour along with SIM card , Cheque book, pass book (oriental Bank) and also wallet containing PAN card, Aadhar card, cash Rs. 2000/-, ATM card (Oriental Bank), educational documents, joining letter of future group and ID card of future group company etc. The accused person had withdrawn Rs 24000/-, by using his ATM Card from PNB ATM situated at Pratap Nagar Metro Station and had also purchased one VIVO mobile phone from Chroma Store, Unity Mall situated at Rohini West metro station by swiping ATM card.  On the statement of complainant, the above mentioned case was registered. On finding a clue from analysis of the CCTV footage of the relevant period, a team comprising of ASI Ombeer Tyagi No. 92/RM Special Staff (Metro Unit), I.O ASI Keshvanan (PS Azadpur), HC Bhupender Kumar No. 469/Metro Special Staff (Metro Unit), Const.Punit No.823/RM and Const. Surender No. 827/RM Special Staff (Metro Unit) under the supervision of Inspr. Ram Mehar (In charge Special staff) was constituted. In the search of accused person, the above mentioned staff developed information. On 18/06/2018 at 1600 Hrs, on the basis of information was received by ASI Ombeer Tyagi, Spl. Staff Metro about the presence of the accused person in Bawana. On the basis of the above tip of the secret informer,  the above accused person was apprehended behind the Shani Mandir, Bawana Delhi.
The above mentioned accused person is a habitual offender and has been committing cheating/theft in metro stations, bus stands, railway stations since last two years. He keeps close watch on the passengers at the platforms and befriends innocent people in order to cheat them on the pretext of exchanging fake currency notes.

A CHRONIC CHEAT AND PROCLAIMED OFFENDER IN MORE THAN 13 CASES ARRESTED

The PO Staff of PS Rani Bagh, North West District has arrested one Brij Bhushan Sharma S/O Shri Ghan Shyam Sharma R/O 776/14, Sec-14, Faridabad, Haryana, a chronic cheat and a proclaimed offender (PO) in more than 13 cases on 15.12.2015. The issue of arrest/tracing of POs has always remained top priority of policing. A dedicated team is formed in each police station and is assigned the task of apprehending POs declared by various courts of law.  The progress made is also periodically discussed and monitored by Courts and senior officers in meetings.  DCP/NW had also directed staff to pay special attention to tracing of POs.  As a result the staff of North West District has arrested 176 POs during the current year.   The team consisting of HC Rajesh Rana, No.192/NW, Ct Pawan, No.1398/NW and Ct.
