GANG OF THIEVES OPERATING IN DELHI METRO BUSTED, STOLEN PROPERTY RECOVERED      


                
With the arrest of two desperate thieves operating in Delhi Metro namely (1) Sagar @ Sonu @ Maggi  R/o Mangolpuri, Delhi Age- 23 year and (2)  Jai Singh @ Kalu R/o H.No. E-15, Mangolpuri, Delhi age -25 years, The stolen property Mobile Phone of Complainant has been recovered from their possession. They are dreaded criminals previously involved in 18 cases of theft, burglary, house theft and Arms Act cases etc.
INCIDENT & INVESTIGATION

On 01/08/17, HC Bhupendra No. 799/RM and Ct Pradeep No. 736/ RM, posted at police station INA Metro were on patrolling duty from Green Park Metro Station to Jorbagh Metro Station and they were very alert and vigilant. While on patrolling in view of the growing incidents of theft and pick- pocketing in the metro trains. At about 09.30 P.M HC Bhupendra No. 799/RM noticed one person in suspicious condition at the platform who were not boarding on any metro train and who was looking similar to the person who committed theft in Case E-FIR No. 136/17 dt 01.08.17 U/S 379 IPC PS INA Metro as shown in CCTV footage. On seeing the police party, he became perturbed and he tried to escape from that place. But HC Bhupendra acted very swiftly and he overpowered him with the help of accompanying Ct. Pradeep after a short chase. They started interrogation to the suspect and the suspect was identified as Sagar @ Sonu @ Maggi  R/o Mangolpuri, Delhi who confessed that he had committed the above theft and the stolen mobile phone is with his associate Jai Singh @ Kalu R/o Mangolpuri, Delhi. During investigation Jai Singh was also arrested and stolen mobile phone of EFIR No. 136/17 was recovered from his possession. Both the accused persons were arrested in Case E-FIR No. 136/17 dt 01.08.17 U/S 379/411/34 IPC PS INA Metro accordingly.
INTERROGATION
Keeping the gravity of the growing incident of theft in Delhi Metro Rail the accused was interrogated by a team comprising of ASI Brijpal singh, HC Omprakash, HC Mohd Hakim, HC Rajesh and W/Const. Kanta under the supervision of Insp Rajeev Kumar, SHO INA Metro, Delhi under the close supervision of Sh. Ranjit Kumar ACP, Metro/South, under the overall supervision of the undersigned. Sustained interrogation of accused persons was conducted. During interrogation, it was surfaced that the accused Sagar @ Sonu @ Maggi is dreaded criminals and he is previously involved in many cases of theft, burglary, house theft and Arms Act cases etc . They are operating on Railway Stations, Bus stands, crowded market places etc.

A CHRONIC CHEAT AND PROCLAIMED OFFENDER IN MORE THAN 13 CASES ARRESTED

The PO Staff of PS Rani Bagh, North West District has arrested one Brij Bhushan Sharma S/O Shri Ghan Shyam Sharma R/O 776/14, Sec-14, Faridabad, Haryana, a chronic cheat and a proclaimed offender (PO) in more than 13 cases on 15.12.2015. The issue of arrest/tracing of POs has always remained top priority of policing. A dedicated team is formed in each police station and is assigned the task of apprehending POs declared by various courts of law.  The progress made is also periodically discussed and monitored by Courts and senior officers in meetings.  DCP/NW had also directed staff to pay special attention to tracing of POs.  As a result the staff of North West District has arrested 176 POs during the current year.   The team consisting of HC Rajesh Rana, No.192/NW, Ct Pawan, No.1398/NW and Ct.
