INCIDENCE
The information about missing of a girl from Police Station Gosaninuagaon, Distt. Berhampur, Odisha was received to the Anti Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU), Crime Branch, Delhi Police with her suspected presence in Delhi. On the directions of Dr. G. Ramgopal Naik, the work to follow up the matter was assigned to Inspector Ram Niwash in the supervision of ACP Shweta Singh Chauhan. Inspr. Ram Niwash gathered the required information from PS Gosaninuagaon, Distt. Berhampur, Orissa and the father of the missing girl was contacted. It came to know that the girl is missing from 09.11.2016. A missing report in this regard has already been registered in PS Gosaninuagaon, Distt. Berhampur, Orissa. He told that he has received the messages about withdrawal of money from the bank account of the Missing Girl from the ATMs in SP Mukherji Marg, Yamuna Park and Connaught Place New Delhi continuously on 16, 17 and 18 Nov. 2016.  On this, the father of the missing girl was called to Delhi.

TEAM & OPERATION
A team led by ACP Shweta Singh Chauhan comprising Inspector Ram Niwash, ASI Ramesh Kaushik, Cts. Sanjeev Kumar and W/Ct. Sweety was constituted under the supervision of DCP Dr. G. Ramgopal Naik and under guidance of Addl.CP K.K. Vyas to recover her.
The team met the parents of the missing girl and got the video clipping of the ATM. A boy aged about 21-22 yrs and the missing girl was spotted in the video clippings. The image of the girl and the boy was shown to the nearby area and search of the boy spotted was carried out alongwith her parents. At last, the boy was spotted by the hawkers at New Delhi Railway Station as Rupesh Gola, a taxi driver. His mobile number was taken and contacted. He joined the investigating team and admitted meeting with the girl and having made arrangement of the lodging of the girl. He led the police party to the hotel Ashoka Inn, near Metro Station Chandni Chowk, H.C. Sen Road, Fountain, Delhi.  The girl was found present there in the room.

INVESTIGATION

On inquiry, she revealed that she is a student of BA 2nd year in Berhampur, Odisha. She is adult having passed 18 yrs of her age and after staying for 5-6 days in the house of her friend in Berhampur itself, came to Delhi on 16.11.2016 at her own will after having a little altercation with her father. She came to Delhi in the search of a job but she had no specialization or proper qualifications. While she was near the redlight area (G.B. Road) Ajmeri Gate, she came across Rupesh Gola, a taxi driver at NDLS, who assisted her in getting lodging, food and getting her withdrawal of money from the ATMs. Knowingly, she did not disclose her parental address to Rupesh Gola. Despite advice by Rupesh Gola to return back to her home, since there are very less chances of getting the job for a lone girl in Delhi, without any special qualifications/diploma, she stood firm on her decision of not going back and kept searching for job in the nearby area in Old Delhi. She used to visit the area near New Delhi Railway Station and Ajmeri Gate in the search of job.  Had she not been recovered so soon, there were chances of the girl falling in the trap of Human Traffickers. She further told that nothing adverse has happened with her till date. After informing the concerned police station of Orissa and due codal formalities, the girl was handed over to her father.
