AN IPL GAMBLING RACKET RUNNING CLANDISTINELY IN POSH LOCALITY BUSTED

THE MASTERMIND ALONG WITH 04 ASSOCIATES ARRESTED, Rs. 2,80,000/-, 9 MOBILE PHONES, LAPTOP, RECORDER, LED TV, DVR and 02 HIGH END CARS RECOVERED.
PROFILE OF ACCUSED PERSONS:-
  1. Charanjeet Yadav R/o Ramesh Nagar, Delhi. Age- 25 yrs.
  2. Roshan R/o Ramesh Nagar, Delhi. Age- 21 yrs.
  3. Honey R/o Shardha Puri, Ramesh Nagar, Delhi. Age- 29 yrs.
  4. Gaurav  R/o Basai Dara Pur, Moti Nagar, Delhi. Age- 25 yrs.
  5. Mohit R/o Sudarshan Park, Moti Nagar, Delhi. Age- 21 yrs.

INFORMATION, TEAM & OPERATION:-
             On 30.04.18, Inspr. Anil Kumar, SHO/Kirti Nagar  received a tip-off about gambling and betting in Raja Garden, Delhi on IPL’s -2018 cricket match. Immediately, a raiding team comprising of Inspr. Anil Sharma (SHO/Kirti Nagar), Ms. Sandhya Swami, IPS (SHO/Moti Nagar), Inspr. Vijay Sanwal (ATO/Moti Nagar), SI Pankaj, HC Sanjeev, HC Rakesh, HC Vinod, Ct. Sanjeev, Ct. Vipin under supervision of Sh. Raman Lamba, ACP/PB was constituted and a raid was conducted. On reaching there, the premise was found covered with the Iron Grills & Gates. The rooftop was also found covered with the Iron Grills. The team made sincere efforts and succeeded to apprehend 05 gamblers from there. An amount of Rs 2,80,000/-, 02 High End Cars, 1 Dell Laptop, 32” LED TV Screen, Recorder, 5 Purse and 9 Mobile Handset were recovered from their possession. Subsequently, a case vide FIR No. 148/18, u/s 3/4/5/9/55 Delhi Public Gambling Act was registered at PS Moti Nagar and the recovered items were taken into police possession.
INTERROGATION:-
                On sustained interrogation, the accused persons revealed that they were running the racket for quite some time and used to distribute the profit earned in above Gambling activities on weekly basis. They further revealed that they used to take the Betting Rate’s of IPL 20-20 Cricket Match of Delhi Vs Chennai per Ball/per Over from one person over phone and further gave the same to the punters. Whatever the customer bet they feed the same into the Laptop as well as on the recorders and collect the money from the Caller’s on the next day. The collections are being made on daily basis.  The Racket operated in premises on monthly rental in the garb of study purpose.

    6. 9 Mobile Handset,
    7. 2 High End Cars (Hyundai i20 & Toyota Corolla Altis)
     Further investigation is in progress, efforts are being made to trace the co-accused person and other active gambling racket with the help of sustained interrogation.

Two sophisticated pistols alongwith 9 cartridges recovered. A reward of Rs 50,000/- was declared by Delhi Police for his arrest. A team of Special Cell, Northern Range, led by Insp. Sanjay Nagpal, Inspr. Prabhat Kumar & Insp. Pankaj Kumar under the supervision of Shri Pankaj Sood, ACP has arrested sharp shooter of notorious and desperate gangster Naveen @ Khati namely  Sagar @ Punter, alongwith his associate Ravi @ Cheeru. Two pistols alongwith 9 cartridges were recovered from their possession.  A Bullet Motor-Cycle used by gangster has also been seized. A reward of Rs 50,000/- was declared by Delhi Police for his arrest. There is a long history of gang war in Najafgarh and adjoining areas.
