A SENSATIONAL CASE OF ATT. TO MURDER CRACKED BY THE STAFF OF PS DWARKA SOUTH AND TWO ACCUSED AARESTED

A team of police officials of Police Station Dwarka South of Dwarka District have arrested two accused person namely Rakesh Kumar Gupta and Rahul @ Bobby and recovered one country made Pistol & one empty cartridge from their possession.    
INCIDENT & OPERATION:-

    On 07.6.18, a PCR call was received at police post Sector 1 Dwarka, that one person sustained bullet injuries and he is being shifted to DDU Hospital for treatment. Upon this, the police reached the Hospital where one injured person namely Anil Kumar was found under treatment. One eyewitness Pramod Pal was found at the spot who stated that he works as a waiter and he alongwith his friends namely Md. Masrur and Anil Kumar was going to Sagarpur area for dinner on motorcycle. When they reached near Shani Temple, 2-3 unknown boys stopped them and started arguing & abusing. On this Anil Kumar (complainant’s friend) asked alleged boys that why they were abusing. Upon this, one of the alleged boys fired on Anil due to which he sustained serious injury on his chest. After that the alleged boys fled from the spot. A case vide FIR No. 161/18 u/s 307/34 IPC & 25/27/54/59 Arms Act was registered at PS Dwarka South and investigation was taken up.

 Keeping in view the gravity and sensitivity of the case, a dedicated team comprising of Insp Mukesh Kumar ATO/Dwarka South, SI Ram Pratap, I/C PP Sector 1 Dwarka, ASI Salender , Ct. Dinesh & Ct Mukesh led by Sh. Anuj Kumar IPS, under training, SHO/Dwarka South, under the close supervision of Sh. Rajender Singh, ACP Dwarka was constituted. Sincere efforts were being made by the constituted team and local enquiry was conducted. The Call Details Records (CDRs) of suspects were analyzed and several secret sources were deployed. The efforts of the team yielded results and one of the accused persons namely Rakesh Kumar Gupta was arrested. He was interrogated at length. He disclosed that Rahul @ Bobby & Shanky were also involved in the incident. Shanky was having a Country Made Pistol and he fired upon the complainant. He also disclosed that he supplies the batteries in weekly markets and the injured Anil Kumar also supplied battery in weekly markets. He had rivalry with Anil Kumar on the issue of supplying of batteries in weekly markets. On 07.06.18, he along with Rahul @ Bobby and Shanky was standing near Shani Temple and when he saw Anil and his friends coming on motorcycle, he got stopped their motorcycle and heated arguments took place between them. In between, Rahul @ Bobby fired upon Anil Kumar and all of them fled from the spot. They were evading their arrest but apprehended by the police.  At his instance, several raids were conducted in search of co-accused Rahul @ Bobby & Shanky but they were found absconding.
              Thereafter, the team continued sincere efforts to apprehend the co-accused persons by deploying secret informers and technical surveillance was put over the accused persons. The efforts of the team yielded result and co-accused Rahul @ Bobby was arrested on secret information.  During sustained interrogation, one country made Pistol & one empty cartridge have been recovered from his possession.

PROFILE OF ACCUSED PERSONS:-
  • Rakesh Kumar Gupta  s/o Lt. Harsh Charan Gupta r/o RZ C-2/207-A Vijay Enclave, Dabri, aged 40 years. He supplies batteries in weekly markets. 
  • Rahul @ Bobby s/o Premveer r/o RZ C-1/105, Vinod Puri, Vijay Enclave, Dabri, aged 28 years. He is a OLA cab driver.

RECOVERY:-
  • One country made Pistol & one empty cartridge have been recovered.
                 The investigation of the case is in progress and efforts are being to arrest co-accused Shanky.

Two sophisticated pistols alongwith 9 cartridges recovered. A reward of Rs 50,000/- was declared by Delhi Police for his arrest. A team of Special Cell, Northern Range, led by Insp.
